23.01.2022 If anyone has any photos or videos of me working with there horses or giving riding lessons if they could please send them to me. Seems I'm having difficulty either finding photos or getting them from my old page. I would really appreciate it!

21.01.2022 Had a bit of a play with captain and he showed me exactly what I thought he is very brave and has unlimited talent put a jump up to 1.05 without hesitation popped over it like it was nothing put it up to 1.10 same thing

19.01.2022 Jump on board & help save our Snowy Mountains Brumbies, this may be our last chance. Pick up those pens, keyboards or phones. 'WE NEED YOU ' Snowy Mountains Bu...sh Riders, have jumped on board to 'Save the Snowy Mountains Brumbies' ITS TIME... to play dirty!! to lobby, phone, email, write to: Gladys Berejiklian ( NSW Premier ) to tell her, we will not accept Matt Kean's handling of our brumbies. The Minister has got it wrong. Some points: The numbers are wrong! The bushfires destroyed many brumbies already! We demand a post fire count! No homes, no trapping! Wait for the new plan! The community has enough distress already! Gladys is the ONLY person who can change Kean's direction. If she gets swamped with thousands of emails about saving the brumbies it may help. Send them several times to both of them!! Can you imagine their inbox? Send every day for a week. A copy of your message should also go to Matt Kean (Minister for Environment) as well as your local member if you are in NSW. The Hon. Gladys Berejiklian MP GPO Box 5341 SYDNEY NSW 2001 (02) 8574 5000 [email protected] [email protected] The Hon. Matt Kean MP GPO Box 5341 SYDNEY NSW 2001 (02) 8574 6150 [email protected] [email protected] This could also be done in Victoria Swamp Premier Andrews etc email!

19.01.2022 My horse needs to be shod because he wears his feet too much! So this statement is a MYTH. 50+ million years of evolution has not resulted in the modern dome...stic horse having such weak, poor feet, that it CANNOT cope with being ridden on or off road without the need for SHOES. But...you hear this MYTH that horses are wearing their feet off EVERYWHERE! Where is the EVIDENCE? I ride my horse a couple of hours a day and I need shoes, because if I don’t his feet wear away too much and he goes lame! Seriously? Lame (footsore) MUST MEAN wearing the foot off? And just ridden a couple of hours a day? Hmmmm? And yet out in the extremely tough Great Basin in the US, where horses are CONSTANTLY walking and running, often at great speeds, over EXTREMELY ABRASIVE terrain - they don’t seem to be all crippled and wearing their hooves away If a horse doing 25+ miles A DAY, over really tough terrain, doesn’t wear his feet off...then how is it that a domestic horse, kept for the majority of their day on a grass pasture or enclosed stable/box on SOFT BEDDING, that is ridden out for a few hours a week (not even close to 25 miles per week) is apparently wearing their foot off? Doesn’t that seem STRANGE to you? And how is it, that the horse which is apparently wearing their foot off, also needs to be trimmed every few weeks...and horn is actually CUT OFF....? This well established MYTH of horses wearing their hooves down to nubs on tarmac roads...off road...in SAND ARENAS....is exactly just that - a MYTH! But hang on....the horse IS going FOOTSORE...now that is definitely NOT a myth. SO are the TWO connected? Wearing hoof off = sore feet? This is where all the CONFUSION lies. A barefoot horse with sore feet, stumbling on stones, searching for soft verges, reluctant to walk on anything but soft ground...has a BIG PROBLEM! But HAS THIS PROBLEM arisen from too much WEAR? There are TWO reasons horses are footsore: 1. Too much hoof is being removed at EVERY TRIM 2. The horse is having inflammatory episodes in his feet (and body) And BOTH of the above, can be happening together or separately. In other words DIET and MANAGEMENT (which includes the trimming) is the PROBLEM - NOT the fact the horse is wearing too much foot away. Think about it...HOW can horses out in the Great Basin...or feral horses pretty much anywhere in the world - COPE? Why aren’t they SHOD? Surely they would need to be SHOD? But there is a difference...the domestic horse has a rider on their back - that MUST BE the reason? RIGHT? WRONG. A rider’s weight does not suddenly tip the horse over the edge that the hooves start wearing away - to cause the horse to be sore! If a pregnant mare, carrying a significant EXTRA weight, running FAST away from predators, over rocks and harsh UNEVEN terrain, for MILES and MILES, doesn’t wear her foot off...then why does your mare carrying you for a few hours A WEEK wear her foot off? Doesn’t that make ALARM BELLS ring? Healthy SOUND barefoot horses, hacking, competing, working...running wild...do NOT wear their feet off. So WHY is this MYTH still alive and kicking today? Because of misinformation...lack of education...and a HUGE misunderstanding of the effect of diet and management on your horse’s HEALTH and HOOVES. If your horse is footsore - you have two options: 1. Put shoes on - horse now sound permanently (apparently) - problem largely ignored 2. Put boots on - horse now sound temporarily - problem (usually) now actively being addressed by owner who wants to keep their horse barefoot Diet is the PROBLEM....and YOU are in control of that. Management is the PROBLEM...and YOU are in control of that! Do NOT connect a footsore horse with WEAR. 50+ million years of EVOLUTION has not just FAILED because a horse is living in a domestic environment. It’s not the HORSE that has failed...it’s the horse’s ENVIRONMENT that’s failed the horse! No horse has had their foot BRED OFF HIM - that’s a MYTH! No horse WEARS his feet off - that’s a MYTH! Have you heard of...CONTRACTION....THRUSH....THIN SOLES...INFLAMMATION? these are some of the reasons your horse is footsore, NOT extra wear...and you cannot fix them by shoeing! And by ignoring them If you are told, or even BELIEVE, that your horse is footsore BECAUSE he is wearing his hooves too much...then you need to start reading The Barefoot Horse Magazine. We will put you straight! And give you the education and inspiration to learn WHY your horse is footsore. No horse wears their feet off! EVER!
