21.01.2022 Hello friends, family and "others" ....I have just started a little service for Seniors. Check out the website and service which I have to offer :-) www.eldermove.com.au

20.01.2022 After decluttering we made several trips to Ruths new home and also donated lots of items to Charity.

19.01.2022 I like to wrap everything. Even if they are in a box. The box doesn’t give adequate padding and it also can rub or lean on itself and break. I wrap them place back in the box.

19.01.2022 I’m Lynette, the founder of Eldermove. I spent a lot of my childhood moving house. My dad worked for the British Council, so my family were constantly travelling. We lived in Ethiopia for a while, Bahrain and Nigeria. I caught the travel bug as a young adult, and lived for years in Hawaii, the US and Germany. I didn’t know it then, but this repetitive moving became something I was very good at. I finally settled in sunny Sydney, met my husband, and started a family. No more moving until I helped my parents-in-law move from their home of 55 years a gigantic undertaking. As I wasn’t immediate family, I was able to help them make hard decisions as to what to keep, store, and throw away. But I was also a source of support through a very stressful time. I realised how good I was at organising big moves. This is how Eldermove came about.

16.01.2022 Moving day is always stressful no matter how well you’ve planned. Two tips. It’s always takes longer than you think and you always have more stuff than anticipated.

13.01.2022 ElderMove s first Seniors Expo. Dee Why RSL. Today from 10-2pm.

08.01.2022 My first Client - Ruth. Moved from a two bedroom unit to a one bedroom unit in a retirement village. We needed to declutter and sort and move. We started off with sorting everything that the removalist would take on moving day. We needed to empty furniture and clear a path so the removalist would have room to get all the furniture out. Then once they had completed the big stuff we were able to sort out more items to take to the new home. Decluttering was a big fact...or as Ruth had moved from a three bedroom house prior to being in the 2 bedder. At the end of the day it was important to make the bed so when Ruth got tired she was able to go to bed without having to find bedding and then make it. Ruth worked very hard and we made very good progress in the two days we had prior to the removalist coming. We used the removalist for the big stuff, fridge, bed, wardrobes etc.

05.01.2022 Labelling your boxes help once you’ve moved. You don’t have to dig through every box to find that one thing you need.

04.01.2022 Located on the Northern Beaches NSW

02.01.2022 Labelling your boxes help you find that item at the other end. Also helps the removalist find the right room.
