24.01.2022 WOW!!! Todays Leongatha Store Sale would arguably be the best prices weve seen! Cattle purchased today went throughout the entire state, even as far as a 1200km trip to Gunnedah in Northern NSW. Very strong competition came from Feedlot enterprises which put high rates right throughout the market. Our vendor clients are all smiles this afternoon receiving the call from our Elders Livestock team with todays results and prices. ... Prices for steers made mostly between $1400 to $2000 or $4.00-$5.20kg for the better bred lines, depending on weight and age. Better lines of heifers made $1100 to $1500 or $3.70-$4.30kg. We would like to congratulate our clients on a wonderful presentation of cattle today, and special mention to our Auctioneer Rohan McRae who sold and got the excellent results! Bullocks sold firm to slightly dearer with a top of $3.30 to processors, with isolated sales to $3.50 for heavy steers to feedlots. Vealers were dearer for the best quality, ELDERS sold the market top vealers today with 4 Limo x vealers making $4.27.2. 18.01.2022 COWS & CALVES MAKE RECORD Today Elders clients, Dale & Robyn Scott, Stony Creek, sold 45 Speckle Park cows & calves to a record high $5580 per outfit. It is yet to be confirmed, but agent Alex Dixon (pictured) stated he had never heard of such a high price ever for commercial cows & calves. In the ‘Scott’ consignment was a total of 45 cows & calves that averaged an amazing $4034. AuctionsPlus marketing strategy was used to have such a success!
