25.01.2022 Supervision Training All the staff at Elderslie ELC participated in a supervision training day. Children need safe and secure environments to thrive in their life and learning. Effective supervision is integral to creating environments that are safe and responsive to the needs of all children.... It also helps to protect children from hazards or harm that may arise from their play and daily routines. Effective supervision also allows educators to engage in meaningful interactions with children. We promote our staff to have the highest qualifications by always ensuring staff stay current in their training of on going practices within the centre, ensuring the best care for all the children within our care.

15.01.2022 ELLA- French This week the Wombats sat with Miss Vanessa on the mat and went over their newly learnt French words to see what the children could remember. Miss Vanessa asked the children how to say hi my name is; it was great to see so many hands go up to have a turn at saying it in French, the children each said salut je m'appelle, which was correct. They then went over the colours to see if they remembered the French terms for each word. The children did so well with some of the colours but needed some help with some other trickier ones. It was great to see the children so happy with themselves for remembering the translation of words.
