23.01.2022 We run a ministry model in Stage 3 and try to promote leadership of all our students. All Stage 3 students select to be a part of one of five ministries: community, fundraising, wellbeing, technology or environment. Each ministry is responsible for a range of tasks across the school and the responsibility is shared by all the students within that ministry. We strongly believe leadership is not in a position or title but in action and example. We do, however, have 15 student leaders who lead the ministries. These students, today, went to the Halogen Leadership Conference and got to listen to a range of speakers. They had an inspiring day.

22.01.2022 A great day at the swimming carnival today! Well done to all the swimmers. And a big thank you to our parent helpers, who without their support our carnival would not have been possible.
22.01.2022 Children’s comprehension is dramatically improved by reading. This includes being read to by a parent. Whether your child is in Kindy or Year 6, set up a daily routine that includes sharing a book. Primary students still love listening to picture books or having a chapter book read to them. We would love to hear what books you have enjoyed reading with your children in the comments below. It would be great to have a list to go back to for other parents when they are looking for inspiration.

19.01.2022 This week our teachers received their PIVOT data. This data is from students from their perspective about how their class is going against the teaching standards. The teachers unpack it with their class and set goals together to make the classrooms even more effective. This student ownership builds a class environment where students are more accountable for their own learning.

19.01.2022 3S are learning to add details to their drawings to accompany their informative text writing.
19.01.2022 These are the type of texts and questions are children face in NAPLAN to measure their comprehension. Background knowledge and a strong vocabulary can help support them to unpack the text and answer questions correctly to demonstrate their comprehension. I wonder if you can work out which questions this child has to reflect on....
