25.01.2022 These gutters have to be the fullest Ive ever seen. The rubbish in them has turned to "a grade" compost, as you see in the bucket, even has garden worms living there. This gutter is quite deep, deeper than most Ive seen & makes it very heavy. There meant for water not garden soil. Other issues are what pest are being attracted to the gutters, mozzies, not to mention cause mould in the eves. They were hard to clean out and took much longer than usual. Trees that over hang y...our home should be pruned back or at least use a good quality gutter guard. I recommend cleaning twice a year, at least, depending individual circumstances. We do cleaning... 25.01.2022 Deck restoration......follow on from the 23/3/16 After about 15hrs in total.... From washing, sanding & filling splits in the railing to completing 2 coats of paint & 3 on the railing top surface & deck. All in time for a change in weather. My customer was happy with outcome and payment transferred within 3 days.

20.01.2022 The first coat of paint on this roof. Makes it look so much better. Were getting solar installed in the next few weeks, all being well. So its become quite urgent and weather permitting. Happy anyway the areas the panels are covering have been painted, which was priority... satisfied

08.01.2022 Last few weeks have been pretty crazy. A fair bit of electrical, but also hanging doors property maintenance & some handyman jobs. Lots of little jobs to catch up on including sorting out the "Man Cave" Never ending Ive gotta get a better system.

02.01.2022 Quotation versus Hourly rates....... Most people Ive worked for require a quote. As with myself, the main reason is so we know upfront if we can afford this to be done or do we need to save for the job... Quotations are based on measurements, quantities, material ,fees? And estimated time to complete work. Experience carries a great role in this, any anticipated problems that may arise & so on.... Pros....... Mostly for customers benefit (how $ is it going to cost me.) For me its knowing what material Ill need to carry out the work but mostly what income Ill be brining in..... Cons....... Nothing stands out as far as a customers interests are concerned. Me. Unexpected difficulties. It took longer than estimated, I broke a tool. Faulty fittings/appliance, unnecessary trips to and from job... Just a couple of examples... On a recent job I lost 2 extension bits & a 20mm borer, approx $50 So my question to you is...... Do you consider it reasonable for a tradie to add this $50 to the quote. Or do you expect the quote to remain as is? Thanks in advance for your assistance. Elec1
