23.01.2022 "Thanks to Leanne and the great staff who were able to repair our inverter system that gave up the ghost the day before we left on holidays (a Saturday). We were able to progress the replacement through only phone contact although we were not around and had never met. A job well done." . [Thank you John! It was a pleasure to be of service to you We try to make things easy and I'm really pleased you are happy with our service.]

20.01.2022 The fridge runs 24/7 and is the most used (and opened) and energy-demanding appliance in the home. The average household fridge costs $20 per month to run. To save power & money, the first question is - if you have MORE than one fridge AND a separate deep freezer - do you really need that much refrigerated space? Secondly, get the right size fridge to suit your family and lifestyle. Makes sure your refrigerator is located in a cool position. It's worth paying more upfront fo...r greater efficiency. Any other tips or advice with saving money and power on your fridge? Let us know.

19.01.2022 Thank you to Jace for helping us out with the Hard Questions Part 2.

18.01.2022 Did you know that this is Nigel's favourite time of the year? He spends all his spare time decorating the yard in ghoulish, gruesome & garish decorations in the lead up to Halloween. This also includes a crazy amount of string LED lights & decorations. Thank goodness for solar energy - this is when we really test it!

18.01.2022 Check these out! Transparent, vandal-proof powerpoints. Have you seen these before? These also come in standard white, red or blue. These have been created for use in public housing, child care centres, temporary worksites, correctional facilities and much more.

18.01.2022 What will the design look like? As a solar energy system designer and installer, we use software to simulate the details and configurations of the solar energy system we will install. The design will take into consideration many elements, including:... ~ the owners budget ~ aesthetic preferences ~ performance requirements ~ location, obstructions and optimal performance. This is a work in progress on a home in Toowoomba.

18.01.2022 How many things can you see wrong with this picture? Now that people are spending a lot more time working from home we've had calls to fix up a list of electrical jobs including overloaded powerpoints. Overloading a powerboard can cause a blackout or electrical fire. If you trip a circuit breaker, don’t just flick the switch and start again. It's an indication there is something wrong. Give us a call, it's simply not worth the risk - ever.

16.01.2022 Happy Fathers day to all the Dads out there!

15.01.2022 Australia has reached an important new milestone in September 2020 - our main grid is using 25% renewable energy - combined of solar, wind and hydro energy. The use of gas is -4.2%, coal - 33% and overall energy demand is -4.0% Despite all the challenges of the pandemic - renewable energy is looking bright!

12.01.2022 Nigel starts hyperventilating when he sees a dodgy solar installation like this! This looks like a rollercoaster and impacts the reputation of the whole industry. When you get a quote for a solar installation - please ask to see a folio of their installations- they will be proud to show off their work. Check out their Google and Facebook reviews and visit their place of business. ... Make sure the business has been around for a long time and take the time to meet the installer (not just the salesperson!) All these things go a long way to avoiding this nasty outcome.

11.01.2022 This solar energy installation in Toowoomba is already converting solar energy to power. Just in time to reduce those big power bills for air conditioning during summer. A beautiful installation of 18 x 340W (6.12 kW) LG NeON2 panels on the shed.

11.01.2022 Did you know that for every megawatt hour of electricity produced by coal, it withdraws 60,700 litres of storage water and consumes around 2,600 litres? By converting to solar energy we can help protect our environment by reducing our dependence on coal and precious water resources. Ready to go solar and save? Reach out, we'd love to help.

09.01.2022 If you see an error message appear on your solar system inverter please give us a call even if we are not the original installers of your system. Very often we can quickly assess the equipment and installation. We can reset the system if applicable and create a plan if further investigation is required to get you producing optimal energy again. This is the best time of the year to be producing solar energy, we want to help you get the most power and savings possible.

09.01.2022 Time to dust off the boots & backpack from our 2019 trek in Nepal & start training for the 20km Hike For Homeless. 6 weeks to go!

09.01.2022 "I am blown away by the caring and helpful way we were taken care of. Our solar inverter packed it in and the warranty had expired however the girls in the office still submitted a claim did all the paperwork and associated emails and happily, it was accepted. They arranged for delivery and installation in a prompt manner and while I was in hospital for bypass surgery everything was sorted. My wife was impressed by the professionalism of the installation ... Please if you want service beyond what is acceptable this is the company for you Thank you so much Electrical Sensations" [Thank you so much for your kind words Borut! It is GREAT when we have a win with inverter manufacturers. It was our pleasure to help you out. Take care. ]

08.01.2022 Have you ever ordered an electrical item online - only to then find out it doesn't work? Today, Nigel is working on repairing the electrical issues on this unusual pool table light fitting. The customer purchased this light fitting online (first mistake) & it arrived damaged & not working. Can't wait to see this when it's repaired and fitted.

08.01.2022 "Brilliant company to deal with, explained everything in detail, proposed a solution based on exactly what we needed, knew the product extremely well. Went above and beyond installing the system and general electrical work that we asked to be done at the same time. Very neat job, and did everything in a very short time. Would definitely recommend Nigel, Leanne and the team" Nick Black. Thank you so much for your kind words Nick! We try really hard to please and it is great to know we have hit the mark for you. It has been our pleasure to help you save money on your electricity bills :) Leanne

07.01.2022 Thank you to Mary Reid from Merivale Cakes and Crafts who shared her success story using the power of press releases. Mary has had an incredible 30 years building her corporate career. What I learned from her presentation was the importance of supporting and buying local and storytelling to connect with the community. What we sometimes consider to be 'everyday jobs and tasks' can actually be really interesting newsworthy stories that have a wonderful, positive ripple effect o...n a whole community. We're looking forward to sharing a few more of those things that happen behind the scenes with you.

07.01.2022 Lots of laughs as the team strutted their stuff on our recent photoshoot with Matt Edwards Photography.

05.01.2022 We're right in the middle of storm season across Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. Here are some of the things you can do if you think you may have damage to your solar energy system as the result of a storm.

05.01.2022 Need help with an insurance claim for your solar energy system? The storms on Saturday wreaked havoc across the Darling Downs and Lockyer Valley and many of us are still assessing the damage. Even if your solar panels haven't been visibly damaged or smashed, it is still possible for the cells to have developed microcracks. ... Over time, microcracks can develop into "hot spots" which can eventually lead to panel failure. If your solar system has been subjected to large/damaging hail, keep a close eye on your inverter. If you notice any difference in solar production or errors (RISO errors are typical for moisture ingress) on the inverter, get in touch with our team. We can inspect the panels and prepare a report for insurance if there are problems. Many insurers will pay for an inspection if you believe there is an issue (obviously depending on the insurer and your level of cover). If you have any questions please reach out.

04.01.2022 Are you planning to become more energy sustainable in your home or office in 2021? Here are some ideas to consider that you can do yourself: Install low-flow shower heads - to help reduce water consumption during these prolonged drought conditions.... Don’t wash with hot water Seal all windows - an easy and inexpensive way to lower energy costs. Unplug unused chargers - alone, one charger won’t make much impact, but collectively they add up. Here are some ideas to consider that we can help you with: Replace incandescent bulbs with energy- efficient (LED) bulbs, save a huge amount of power and money on your bill. Install solar panels - They help you save money on energy bills, reduce the use of fossil fuels, reduce your electricity costs by generating energy independently Perform an energy audit - we can help you with an energy audit for your home to help you evaluate the inefficiencies and wasted energy in your home. .

04.01.2022 What will the design look like? We will show you! As a solar energy system designer and installer, we use software to simulate the details and configurations of the solar energy system we will install. The design will take into consideration many elements, including:... ~ your budget ~ aesthetic preferences ~ performance requirements ~ location, obstructions and optimal performance. This is the start of a project on a shed on the Darling Downs region. 12.92kW Solar Power System consisting of 38 x LG 340W solar panels.

04.01.2022 Would you ever consider living in a tiny home powered by solar energy? Watching with great interest as people are continuing to downsize their lives for various reasons. This company in NSW - Designer Eco Tiny Homes - specialises in building tiny portable solar-powered homes.... Where would you set up your home if you could take it anywhere with you?

04.01.2022 We'd love to know, what is your primary reason for investing in solar energy solutions? If it's something else, let us know.

04.01.2022 What will the design look like? Well, it sure won't look like this DIY solar energy system!! As a solar energy system designer and installer, we take into consideration many elements, including: ~ the owners budget ~ aesthetic preferences... ~ performance requirements ~ location, obstructions and optimal performance. Your solar energy system is an important investment- taking short cuts, like the ones in this image, simply won't serve you or the system for the next few decades.

03.01.2022 Doing a bit of maintenance on this incredibly beautiful solar energy system we designed and installed on this shed at a local horse stud. This is also an opportunity to check the panels for any visual changes or possible damage (particularly after the recent hailstorms).

01.01.2022 In the interests of supporting the environment & saving energy we thought we'd participate in 'Leave your Car at Home' day. Maybe we'll stick to saving energy with installing solar PV systems and LED lighting (less taxing on Nigel's quads)
