24.01.2022 The Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC) for BHP Billiton is a world-class 24 hour control centre located in the heart of Perth, Western Australia. This control centre provides BHP staff with the same operating control of an on-site operator, only being located up to 1,600 kms away. This was a collaborative project for BHP which ran for a year in design and implementation; working with Calibre Global, ESC provided building services engineering and project management fo...r the Low voltage electrical, UPS redundancy, lighting, fire detection and mechanical services and provided project management for the ICT global design. The initial scope was to provide five new buildings (one per mine site). We attended all sites and completed an extensive audit of proposed locations and concluded that we could save BHP a considerable amount of money and time on the project by utilising the existing infrastructure; this option created a more complicated project for us but overall the final outcome for BHP meant it was completed on time and under budget. 19.01.2022 ESCs Mark had the pleasure of working on this major University of Otago building in NZ. Mark worked on the Information Services Building project for 2 years, providing the building with its electrical services. The lighting at the time was very forward thinking and was one of the first buildings to incorporate motion detectors throughout to reduce the lighting load. Now, electricians and lighting engineers all use this technology as part of our standard designs. The curved... panels utilised indirect lighting to produce an inviting ambience and plenty of light in the main atrium without any visual discomfort. 13.01.2022 This showroom for Barbagello Motors Perth will house the latest editions of Ferrari, Austin Martin, Rolls Royce and Maserati vehicles. Bargagello Motors requires the best lighting to show off the worlds best cars. 13.01.2022 Perth, renowned for its breathtaking skyline, now has a promenade to match. The city decided to build a beautiful setting to enjoy the view of our magnificent city. This was a major project that included re-stablisation of the foreshore, a beautifully lit walkway and two new feature areas for the community. Electrical Services Consulting worked alongside the City (http://www.southperth.wa.gov.au/) and URBIS (http://www.urbis.com.au/) to provide an effective solution to light... the area. Consideration had to be taken for the existing residence by not to blocking the views of the CBD. It was a pleasure to work with Lighting Options Australia and Paragon Cabling Services. 12.01.2022 BHP FIFO workers have to be away from their families for long periods of time. BHP values their workers, and wanted to provide comfortable accommodations for them while away from home. ESCs Mark Chisholm had the pleasure of working on a project that helped make nine two-story accommodation blocks in Newman an enjoyable environment to reside in while away. The nine accommodation blocks needed upgrades to the electrical services. Working with Hodge Collard Preston Architects ...the final result produced a durable and safe electrical upgrade for the miners and BHP visitors residing within the flats. HCP Architects produced a great result for the project. The completed design included interior and exterior lighting and power, and replacement of the site and building main switchboards.It is projects like this that inspired Mark to start up Electrical Services Consultinga service oriented company that cares about people. 10.01.2022 Guildford Grammar school has been preparing our children for success since 1896. Electrical Services Consulting is proud to have helped in the completion of four new buildings that bring state of the art play to the learning environment of the Prep School at Guildford Grammar. Architects Christou Design Group (http://www.christou.com.au/) worked in the BIM (Building Information Modeling) programme REVIT to complete this project, that includes a new administrative building tha...t sits atop a cafe. Interior Designers brought in a play of colour; lights that provide a range of moods for the children, allowing teachers to incorporate quiet time and AV presentations with a perfect balance between natural and artificial lighting. With safety of our children as important as their education, ESC made sure design features in the new build took into account the Schools Master Plan, from the power supply design to a new digital voice command centre (DVC). The Centre is a state of the art communication system that gives the school flexibility and communication assurance in the event of any emergency that they may encounter. The Amphitheatre was designed to be a focal point of the beach, and a destination for the community to come together.
