25.01.2022 Nice little east/west 4.8kw shed install. Hybrid inverter all ready for future battery installation.

25.01.2022 303 down. Cabling, isolators, sub mains and switchboard are next.

25.01.2022 After much consideration on the design, orientation and placement of this system, its finally up and running. We had shading issues and very little north facing roof space to work with. Weve run with 6.3kw on the north west roof of the house and 5kw split between north east and south west orientations on a 10 degree shed roof. Both systems are SolarEdge optimized. Its currently running at around 60kw hours per day, combined. ... Another 6.3kw will be installed in the near future See more

24.01.2022 Downlight special time!! Do you have those awful 50 watt halogen downlights in your ceiling ? Lets face it, they suck, they use far too much power, they have a poor light output, and in some cases they are unsafe. I have these 10 watt Melec LED jobs available for $40 each, including GST and installation ( swap only) Minimum of 6 lights.

24.01.2022 20 new Jinko 275 watt panels installed for this commercial customer, backed up with arguably the best string inverter on the market, the Fronius 3 phase Symo Hybrid, battery ready.

23.01.2022 A slight deviation from the usual solar post, this evening. It would be fair to say Ive had some issues with a particular solar/battery installation in recent weeks, strange instances of batteries discharging back to the grid and charging/discharging one another. I need to extend my thanks to Justin Flint at CNW Launceston for his constant monitoring of the installation and being proactive in resolving the issue. Local support is so important when considering any solar system and I strongly recommend going to talk to CNW Launceston before signing any other dotted line.

23.01.2022 Ever wondered whats behind that innocent looking fuse panel? Loose connections, dodgy cabling, fires waiting to happen. We strongly recommend replacement.

22.01.2022 I now have access and local support for the highly regarded Victron range of solar charge controllers, multi stage battery chargers and sine wave inverters, and all manner of monitoring devices. These products are very well made, reliable and easy to use. If you own a caravan, motor home, camper trailer, boat, truck, or a 4wd with a second battery, theres a solution available for power on the move.

22.01.2022 Last week, caravan. This week, motorcycle. Next week?? This bike got spot lights and new LED indicators with load compensation resistors to stop the fast blinking. Toy Run ready

21.01.2022 25.2 kw/h battery storage and 10 kw, 3 phase inverter installed in a very tight space. This job required some carpentry, with a false wall erected for battery modules.

19.01.2022 Ever been dead in the water with flat batteries ? Almost happened to us a few weeks ago when fishing out near Waterhouse Island. I was a little concerned, so I decided to install a battery monitor onboard. This little Victron unit can monitor voltage, amp hours, time remaining at current load demand, temperature and state of charge. It also shows voltage and current when batteries are being charged independently and from alternator. Bluetooth built in so theres no need to install the screen in the helm, just use your phone
