24.01.2022 Fresh look for my building business. If there's one thing that has been a positive outcome of this forced isolation/Covid 19 debacle, it's been able to focus on my business & develope it further. #elementalbuildingsolutions #fukusuke_design #businessdevelopement ... #newlogo See more

19.01.2022 Large Reno recently completed. $1.5m build. In hindsight, the owner should of done a new build rather than renovate.

13.01.2022 It's been awhile since my lazy arse posted anything on my business page, but it's time to reflect on some of the projects I have been part of recently. Part 1 This is a sound studio I created for a mate in Newcastle last year. There was multiple engineering challenges involved in this project; ... 1.Access 2.Drainage and flooding issues 3.Removing the excessive fill to gain the height required for these tall lads 4.Maintaining support of the home above 5.Tying into the existing footings 6.Waterproofing 7.But most importantly, building a soundproof room for my mates son to jam and record in, whilst not disturbing mum upstairs. 12.01.2022 Part 2 This job was completed in about 8 months over several missions down to Newcastle. Initially, UB beams were required to transfer the loads from the brick piers under the house. Once the beams were in place the excavation could begin. Fortunately for me, my mate and his son carried out this part of the job. Good old fashioned elbow grease was required. Possibly hundreds of wheel barrow loads of dirt delivered out the back of his house. This required several months of aft...er work and school sessions to get the job done. I returned in mid April to complete the job, completing the final trim of the fill, getting it ready for the foundations. Due to the risk of flooding, the floor was require to be waterproof like a basement. This required a homogenous (as one), concrete floor and walls that tied into the existing foundations, sealing it against potential flooding. Once the foundations were complete, further framing and soundproofing to the ceiling and old brickwork could be carried out. Sound check gyprock was fixed to steel battens on rubber brackets for better sound absorption.

12.01.2022 The finished product has now hit the market. Was a pleasure to play a major role in this huge renovation. https://kollosche.com.au/25-the-corso-isle-of-capri-qld-42/

11.01.2022 This job has been a great starting point for my new apprentice carpenter @James Pryor.

09.01.2022 Severe storms on the Gold Coast have recked havoc lately.

08.01.2022 Restoration of a retaining wall in Robina a while back. Plenty of issue's to deal with on this job. Neighbourly dispute over payment didn't help the cause, but was sorted out in the end. Luckily we got the work done before the spring storms hit with full force the afternoon we finished.

04.01.2022 Feeling the heat here in Arundel. The extension/renovation @ Footscray Pl taking shaped nearing the end of the lockup stage. #Allstylebuildingservices #renovations #custombuilding

03.01.2022 Been busy setting up the cabinetry lately. Hanging doors and applying all the hardware. The cedar timber windows turned out 3 weeks behind schedule (not happy), than was planned for. Luckily I was still able to get most of the finishing completed whilst waiting. My client is pretty pleased with the progress as I'm still on schedule, even with design changes midway (extended benchtop, extended tiling to kitchen, extra room!). #elementalbuildingsolutions #renovator ... @ Kenmore Hills See more

01.01.2022 New project in Brissy. Bunch of duplexes and a triplex. Progressing well between major weather events which have coincided with the weekend's fortunately.
