25.01.2022 Bathroom renovation recently completed in Brighton. - The client requested a larger ensuite as it was the most used bathroom in the residence. To accomplish this we removed the walkthrough robe and associated wall, gaining valuable space for a large walk in shower, freestanding bath, toilet and an 1800 wide vanity and shaving cabinet.

Concrete prepared and placed by Luke and the boys at LHC Concrete Contracting and polished by Ben from All Tas Sandstone & Concrete Solutions. Concrete mix cradle mountain by Hanson Concrete. 16.01.2022 #Repost @designfulstudio Kettering, Tasmania This compact family home in Kettering is nearly finished, just in time for Rebekah and Andrew to move in with their newborn babe very, very soon!... The flow of this modest home was very important. The aim was for a super functional, high performing and aesthetically pleasing home, with connection from the heart of the home (the kitchen) to living, mud room and a north facing outdoor courtyard, with sight lines to the trees and landscape outside. A passive solar design, with a concrete slab floor for thermal mass and most windows facing north. The house is zoned into two: private/sleeping, and shared living. The Stats: 3 bedrooms (one with walk in robe). 1 bathroom, plus separate powder room (and an outdoor shower courtyard). Mudroom/laundry. Super functional kitchen, compact walk in pantry, dining with a very sunny daybed. Cosy lounge with internal brick thermal wall and wood fire. Outdoor north facing courtyard. Quite a bit, coming in at a compact 140m2! Material Palette: the aim was for a design and material palette that fit with the coastal/rural surroundings, that was also zero maintenance. 12.01.2022 -Bathroom renovation before and after- On this one, the client wanted a larger bathroom so we removed the wall between the toilet and bathroom and also deleted the bath to create a nice open area with a nice neat walk-in shower. We also installed a larger double glazed awning window to the area and a cavity sliding door to really save on space.

Moody hues combined with a controlled pallet of colour, juxtaposed against stronger elements of size, proportion and repetition gives this bathroom a stately presence. Try using multiple design features but then purposefully controlling them to help push forward a focal point, such as this amazing stone bath by @pietrabianca.au !

This bathroom renovation considered the early 1900 architecture whilst using modern sanitary ware, but also definitely addresses functionality as it houses the properties laundry as well! Love the counter top @nood_co basins segued with Tasmanian Oak vanity and for a splash of addit...ional glamour the Carrara vanity top!
