09.01.2022 Take action! Being a great leader means having the ability to give others the tools to lead themselves. This is particularly important when it comes to our future generation. This means teaching our children how to recognise bullying and how to stand up against it!... Head over to the Bullying No Way! page for great resources on keeping our children safe! #Leadership #TakeActionTogether #BullyingNoWay

08.01.2022 Did you know that 1 in 70 Australians are estimated to be on the Autism Spectrum? That means that if you aren't ASD yourself then you definitely know someone who is. Raise awareness, educate yourself, educate others, and let's create an autism-friendly world.... #WorldAutismAwarenessDay #lightitupblue #awareness #Inclusion

01.01.2022 Special schools hold a special place in my heart. My first teaching position was in a special school in Ipswich. Nursery Road Special School have just built an awesome new all inclusive play space and is seeking some help adding the final sun safe touches to it. "The school has recently welcomed a new inclusive play space, which is the first modified play space ever to be installed for the junior classes at the school. The children are absolutely loving it! ... This play space was achieved with assistance from a Community Gambling Benefit Fund Grant and with support from the school and our P&C. The parent body are now working to install a shade cover over the play space. Unfortunately, we have been unsuccessful in two grant applications to assist with this, so the P&C have launched a raffle to help us achieve this goal. There is over $3000 great prizes to be won, such as $700 Village RoadShow gift card, $500 Westfield gift card, coffee machine & Black Sheep coffee hamper plus many more amazing prizes. Please see the link below if you would like to purchase. We thank you for your consideration and many thanks for your support to help make our children’s play space even more accessible. NRSSS P&C."
