22.01.2022 BOTANICAL Welcoming a beautiful new terrarium to my space. Big thank you to @be_botanical @urban_botanica_collective for my new addition ... Now, what to name this new micro #environment?? Thoughts anyone??

14.01.2022 WELCOME HOME This is the feeling I experience when walking into this beautiful space. - Having an environment that allows space for patients to feel comfortable and relaxed is important in my books. ... - I'll even admit that I sometimes take 5 in the middle of my day and just have a face down lay down it's the best! - See you soon in this amazing space! - See more

10.01.2022 Hi, I'm Dan - I had realised that I have never introduced myself () to the comminuty so here I go. I'm the Osteopath here @elementsosteo and here to help get you moving your best, but what does that mean?... Well... It means something different to each patient that walks through my door. Working with the patients goals in mind (or finding out what they may be), together we can aim to move forward with them. If they are not moving forward, aim to find out why and try to progress from there. Living here in Newcastle has been an absoulute dream for my partner (@bamberlee) and I. We continue to meet new people in the community and love it here so we're staying. When im not in the clinic you can probably find me walking along or swimming at one of the amazing beaches, love me a sunrise walk from time to time. I love getting my yoga in @theopenmindspace. If you have never been and have thought about it, just do it and thank me later. The team over @themovementcollective (handstand central) have an amazing space and have been so warm and inviting since moving down, mucho grateful to everything they deliver @coopaloop_____ has been pivotal with my move down from Brissy. I'm eternally grateful for working with, being friends with and studying with you brother. Whats that, you want to ask me a question?? Well go ahead and I'll see what I can do

09.01.2022 THE ELEMENTS - All of us (humans) are made up of different elememts - We all move (or dont move) in different ways that have the potential to help us and hinder us... - Using the principles of Osteopathy I look at all the elements that make up the person and consider each one as a story to be heard - I love hearing stories, let me hear some of yours @ Elements Osteo See more

07.01.2022 FASCIA THAT BINDS US The Fascia Research Society states, Fascia is the most pervasive, but perhaps least understood network of the human body. No longer considered the ‘scraps’ of cadaver dissections, fascia has now attracted the attention of scientists and clinicians alike. Fascia is a web of connective tissue formed in bands that wraps around all the internal parts of the body from head to toe and fuses it all together. ... It allows the muscles to move freely alongside other structures and reduces friction. It can be found immediately beneath the skin, around muscles, groups of muscles, bones, nerves, blood vessels, organs and cells. Fascia is everywhere! Biologically, it’s what holds us together. The fascial system maintains a balance of tension and elasticity which allows for smooth, unrestricted movement of each muscle group while holding everything in place. Since there is one singular piece of this stretchy, mesh-like substance interweaving through muscles and organs from head to toe like shrink-wrap, distress in one area can affect movement and create symptoms elsewhere. So, if the fascia is restricted then muscle contraction may also be restricted. Do you think you have fascial restrictions keeping your body from moving free and without pain? Reach out and let me know. Dr Dan

04.01.2022 BREATH CHECK - Osteopaths observe how each patients breath may be contributing to their neck, back or shoulder pain. - Improper breathing can contribute to overworking accessory muscles attached to our ribcage and result in restriction of motion.... - If we have had shallow type breathing for a long time it may contribute to chronic stress and also associate with poor health outcomes both mentally and physically. - One way we can help overcome such restrictions is with the help of Osteopathic treatment. Using techniques to help restore the function to the structure of the rib cage combined with breathing techniques, working to prevent problems occurring in the future. - If you think this may be contributing to your pain and discomfort come in for an assesment to find out @elementsosteo @ Elements Osteo See more

02.01.2022 Hi, I'm Dr Dan and It's time to construct some new business card holders - Those of you that know me know I enjoy building legos in my free time - I find a sense of calm and focus when I get to build and I feel some of this translates when I'm helping a patient to build a framework of their body.... - Using a structured approach to talk about the musculoskeletal system with patients helps build their understanding of their body, helping to enhance outcomes for each patient. - Keep on building See more
