25.01.2022 We know everyone has been eagerly waiting to hear if we are able to open the pool and we thank you for your patience. Sadly, it is uneconomical for us to open during Stage 1 of the roadmap due to such small numbers of swimmers permitted. The pool will therefore remain closed until at least 12 June 2020 when Stage 2 restrictions are released in more detail. We are monitoring the restrictions on a daily basis and will follow further advice from the government and Swimming Aust...ralia in the weeks to come. The GOOD NEWS is we are planning some more group based fitness activities (for up to 10 people) while we are all still out of the water. More information to come next week!

22.01.2022 2020 Chandler SC Prep Meet Results The first meet of the season kicked off last weekend with our Gold squad swimmers Tahlia H, Maddie, C, Attila C, Emily S and Emily S-S representing Element Swimming proudly. Tahlia's hard work in training paid off, as she placed in all of her events and came home with some well-deserved medals. She also obtained PBs in all her swims!... Our newest team members Maddie, Emily S & Emily S-S represented our club well with some fantastic PBs and places in their swims. Looking good in the new blue & white shirts, girls! Attila swam a great PB in his 100m individual medley - 3.86 seconds off his previous time. Well done! A massive congrats to all our swimmers & we look forward to seeing some more results in the Speedo QLD SC Meet on 29th & 30th August.

20.01.2022 Harvey's First Swimming Lesson For those families who have been swimming with us at Coorparoo for a number of years, will remember Harvey as a baby at the pool and now a bright & happy 3 year old boy. It brings a tear to our eye that he is finally old enough to join the first level of our learn to swim program - and here he is last Saturday morning!... A milestone for us all, (Ben & Emily)

19.01.2022 U P D A T E We are still confirming details with the school in order to commence lessons & squads as soon as possible. We are aiming for end of July / early August. Remember our strength program for L5, L6, Dev, Bronze, Silver & Gold is running through the holidays. Get in touch via email if you would like your swimmers to join.

18.01.2022 Cancelled - Strength Training Today Due to the Coorparoo fields being wet, we've had to cancel all strength training sessions today (Friday).

16.01.2022 Parents please note the news around the most recent government information . . . Businesses like ours with COVID safe plans in place are NOT affected. We will continue to clean and sanitise the pool areas to keep our families safe. Have a wonderful weekend and just keep swimming

13.01.2022 Strength Training - Cancelled Today We've just had to cancel the training on the Carey Field today due to the wet weather. All kids will be kept safe undercover with our coaches until collected by their parents.

11.01.2022 We are a small family run business looking for experienced swim instructors of any age & background to join our young & fun team. Our swimming programs operate from 3:00 p.m. until 5:15 p.m. Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings from 8.00 a.m. till 11.00 a.m. Must be able to commit to your allocated hours throughout the school term, across our learn to swim programs for ages 3.5 and up.... We require instructors at both our locations below: Coorparoo State School - Coorparoo Marshall Road State School - Holland Park West Qualifications: AUSTSWIM Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent) Working with Children Blue Card Current CPR Plenty of parking and close to public transport. Plus, all staff members can swim in our adult squad for free!

10.01.2022 GOOD NEWS SWIMMERS We will be opening the gates for squads only for term 3 from this Thursday 30th July PM. There are some COVIDSafe policies that everyone will need to adhere to which will be outlined in an email in the coming days. At this stage learn to swim will commence after squads in early August after we have worked out enrolling & scheduling classes.... See you at the pool soon!

10.01.2022 Hello Swimmers! There have been some promising signs that swimming pools will be allowed to reopen next week. Wooooo! We are currently working out what that means for us and what sort of program we can run going forward with the new health guidelines in place. 07.01.2022 U P D A T E We are still working behind the scenes to get Coorparoo pool running soon. We will have another update on Monday 27th July. In the meantime, we have secured lanes at Langlands pool for our Gold & Silver squads to train. Check your email for details!

06.01.2022 We had a very happy group of squad swimmers returning to the pool last week. Coach Nick & Alex pictured pool deck ensuring technique is correct. Strength training on the Carey fields has FINISHED. We are now transitioning back to the pool with squads starting last Thursday & learn to swim to commence Monday 17th August. More information on LTS to come this week. We are still accepting enrolments for squad kids - simply online via your portal or get in touch via em...ail. Also, please follow all new signage & directions from staff to ensure the pool stays COVIDsafe for our swimmers
