20.01.2022 Don’t mind some rain after the heat wave Happy Australia Day to all my Aussie friends! I’m gradually getting back to work and my little one seems to not recognize me with full makeup on

16.01.2022 Did I hear you say ‘Finally!’ ? Previous parts #elenaspath Of course, that light at the end of the tunnel was my knight in the shining armor - my beloved husband ... It happened after another episode of fainting at work when he sighed deeply and said that maybe I should quit my office job. I’m sure it was quite a difficult decision for him to make, especially because we were planning to move to Australia and needed all the money we could get. Quiting my day job meant reducing our safety pillow after the move and so increasing the stress over finding a job there We also had to wait about a year for our visa application to be processed and during that time it was his salary only we could rely on. It was also about losing my financial independence and (omg!) destroying my dad’s dream Anyway, I did quit. Yes, I was scared but even more I was exhausted and over it And from then on I was free! Not a lawyer anymore but a full time makeup artist, yey! I took some time to just rest and prepare for a fresh start. And then as if in a beautiful dream we were informed we got our visa to Australia! It was processed so quickly that even our migration agent was surprised. We decided to move as soon as possible and in less than a month we informed our families and friends (needless to say it was quite a surprise for everyone), sold our cars, rent our apartment, packed our stuff and flew to Australia. After couple weeks of sightseeing in Sydney we both started to look for a job. It’s here in Australia where I consider my real makeup career began Even having a year of part time experience I didn’t fully understand what it takes to be a makeup artist And of course, pursuing a new career in a new country, speaking (or rather struggling to speak) second language was something I’d never imagined I’d be able to do It’s been more than 4 years since I became an Aussie makeup artist and there were many ups and downs along the way but this whole experience makes me think there’s nothing impossible Would you or are you already pursuing your dream career? @kattygott See more

04.01.2022 I thought I was ready but I had no idea Motherhood is so much more than a cute bub and a mix of happiness and sleepless nights. And our mums who cared for us and coped with their feelings, fears and anxiety without the Internet, messengers, support groups etc - I honestly don’t know how you did it ... Happy Mother’s Day to all beautiful mummas out there! See more
