25.01.2022 ESPECIALLY you. #ElephantEd

25.01.2022 After being inundated with messages and enquiries, we have put together this statement in response to the recent consent petition going around the country. We fully support @chanelc and encourage everyone to continue this conversation at school, amongst your friends and family and your broader communities at large. It's time to talk about the elephant in the room. #ElephantEd

25.01.2022 Don’t forget you’re lit AF #ElephantEd

24.01.2022 IT DOESN’T matter who you are, where you come from or what your background, beliefs or identity are. This is the sign you’ve been looking for: You deserve sex education. #ElephantEd

23.01.2022 IT IS only the beginning, but it’s a step in the right direction. Queensland has officially become Australia’s first state to criminalise gay conversion therapy. EE couldn’t applaud the decision or Queensland Health Minister Steven Miles’ words any louder: Being LGBTIQ is not an affliction or disease that requires medical treatment. No treatment or practice can change a person’s sexual attraction or experience of gender. #ElephantEd

23.01.2022 You will have seen this word plenty of times in your feeds the past few weeks. Good. Let’s keep it that way. #ElephantEd

23.01.2022 A REMINDER to everyone after a long year, but a special shout-out to those in the education space. Not long to go now.... #ElephantEd

23.01.2022 WE PROMISE we didn’t write this ourselves! What better way to start school holidays than going through YEAR 6 student testimonials #ElephantEd

23.01.2022 WHILE we are all navigating ourselves through COVID, the world hasn’t stopped. Tomorrow begins our first ONLINE WORKSHOPS for term 3 as Elephant Ed continues to support schools and their sex education curriculum. Young people are spending increasingly long hours online and MUST learn to equip themselves with the right tools. Young people continue to grow up and we are so excited to be there to help them along the way. #ElephantEd

22.01.2022 We get this question from students ALL THE TIME. First thing’s first: try not to worry too much. IT IS COMPLETELY NATURAL We promise you it will be okay. You can feel confident you’re not the first person to get your period and we can guarantee you won’t be the last ... Everyone is different - there is no RIGHT age to get your period, so just do your best to sit back, relax and enjoy the journey If you’re really nervous, there are some things you can do to prepare: speak to someone you trust, have menstrual products available in your school bag, your locker or in your teacher’s desk (they probably already have!) - and make sure you understand how to use them! Lastly, make sure your friends know you are there for them, just like you’d want them there for you. Happy Friday! #ElephantEd

21.01.2022 HOLY MOLY.so that term just happened. We are feeling overwhelmed, exhausted but overall grateful for having spoken with more than 3,000 students, parents and staff across Victoria and New South Wales this term. Thank you to everyone for your support, your participation and most importantly - your patience when the tech glitches ... Happy school holidays to all - re-energise, rejuvenate and please take care of yourself See you in Term 4 #ElephantEd

21.01.2022 Happy Friday everyone #ElephantEd

20.01.2022 WE HAVE LIFTOFF With Australia’s borders closed, our first ever NSW workshops this week certainly look a little different to what we imagined. There have been plenty of challenges during COVID-19 but we’re not letting that stop us.... Our next few weeks are FILLED with our online workshops to NSW students, parents and teachers. We just can’t wait to meet you all in person. #ElephantEd

16.01.2022 BLOODY exciting. No pun intended. Today, free pads and tampons were made available in EVERY government school in Victoria. Although not everyone is at school at the moment, this is an incredible step for schools across Australia. Sanitary items are a NECESSITY. Not a luxury. Here’s to the rest of the country following suit!... #ElephantEd See more

15.01.2022 TRY NOT TO STRESS. You are completely normal. A wet dream is an erotic or sexual dream that causes involuntary ejaculation or wetness. If they do happen (some people NEVER have a wet dream - and that’s normal too), they usually begin around puberty time and can continue through life. There’s a huge myth that only someone with a penis can have a wet dream - THIS IS FALSE. If you do have one, it’s not a biggie - collect your sheets and PJs, chuck them in the wash and then ba...ck off to sleep you go #ElephantEd See more

15.01.2022 ANY guesses what it could be??? TOMORROW. 2:00pm. The news will drop RIGHT HERE.... The countdown is on #ElephantEd See more

14.01.2022 Today is #WorldSexualHealthDay2020! To celebrate, the #FemtechCollective are shining a light on the importance of sexual health as part of holistic well-being, and reminding our community of some important definitions. This is particularly important this year, as COVID-19 has had a dramatic impact on female Sexual Health across the world, due to reduced access to physical intimacy, contraception & STI testing. Please join the conversation, and share how your favourite #femte...ch or #sextech brand is helping tackling #sexualhealth during #Covid19 Happy Friday and Happy #WSHD2020 Love, #ElephantEd

13.01.2022 IT’S been 5 of the very best years of memories, laughs and impacting students. But now the time has come to say farewell to one of Elephant Ed’s OG . Rami has been with us from the very beginning, travelling to hundreds of schools and impacting thousands of young people across Australia. Rami - we’re not too sure what EE looks like without you, but thank you for your commitment, your passion and your belief in education.... How fitting Rami received this feedback in his VERY LAST WORKSHOP: I loved this workshop as it helped me come to terms about life. We couldn’t have said it any better ourselves. Thank you for everything #Rami #ElephantEd

12.01.2022 IT’S OFFICIAL The Sydney education revolution is just getting started........... #ElephantEd

12.01.2022 Just talk. You’re not alone. You’ve got nothing to lose. #ElephantEd

09.01.2022 THIS happens at the best of times let alone during a global pandemic. Whether you are partnered up or not, everyone’s libido (or sex-drive) will go through stages: from wanting to act on it immediately (remember consent if there’s someone else involved) all the way to having zero interest in anything remotely sexual. There’s a billion reasons you may be experiencing some differences: hormones, stress, being alone, not being alone, diet, medicines and everything in between.... Life’s a bit strange at the moment, so all we will say is make sure you listen to and look after yourself. No pun intended #ElephantEd

09.01.2022 A LITTLE over 48 hours remaining until applications close. Thinking about it? But not entirely convinced if you should apply? A little piece of unsolicited advice from us: just do it. What’s the worst that can happen? ... You could land up in your DREAM JOB! APPLY NOW. Link in our bio. #ElephantEd

08.01.2022 Sunday 5pm. Watch this space. You won’t want to miss it. #ElephantEd

08.01.2022 JUST the other day we were delivering an online workshop to a group of high-school students when someone asked Won’t asking for consent ruin the mood? Put simply, NO. There are so many different ways to ask someone how they feel or what they want to do. Just remember: consent isn’t an option. It’s compulsory. Just ask. #ElephantEd

08.01.2022 LISTEN to your body. It knows you better than you know you. Talk with a medical professional about different contraceptive methods. YOU HAVE LOTS OF CHOICES. Different bodies react to different methods, so make sure you find the right one for you. Look after your body - it’s the only one you have #ElephantEd

05.01.2022 What is Wear it Purple Day? We knew you’d ask that. Wear it Purple Day started 10 years ago and has developed into an international movement to promote LGBTQIA+ support and to create an inclusive environment for all generations, young and old, no matter who you are. Be part of the movement. Be part of the change.... #ElephantEd See more
