16.01.2022 We have just finished the removal and installation of new soft fall surfaces at the centre. It looks fantastic! Thanks must go to Sonia Hornery who approved the project and its funding through the Community Building Partnership Program. We must also thank Rhys and his team from Floorscape Creations for the top job they have done.

16.01.2022 Early Childhood Educators' Day recognises and celebrates the work of Australia's educators in early learning services for their wonderful contribution to the wellbeing and healthy development of the young children in their care. It's a chance to say thank you to Australia’s early childhood educators on a very personal level by service operators, families and their children, as well as collectively at the national level. This year Early Childhood Educators' Day will take place on Wednesday 2nd September.

15.01.2022 Dear Families, From Monday morning we will begin collecting donations of specific food items to be passed on to a worthy organisation who support the homeless in our community. REACH is a local not for profit who are not affiliated with any other organisation or religious group, the board of directors are just local citizens who have a desire to make a difference to the lives of those in need. REACH is funded by donations and grants and would really appreciate local assistanc...e with donations of specific non-perishable food items. These are tins of baked beans, spaghetti, tuna, cheese and cracker packs, muesli bars and fruit tubs. We will be collecting the donations in a suitcase that will be displayed in the centre foyer. Thanks everyone ahead of time for all of the donations I’m sure we will receive!

14.01.2022 Every year we have visits from a Hunter New England Health trained vision screener to check the eyesight of children who are eligible to attend primary school in the following year. Thanks Tracy for coming along today to check the children's eyesight!

09.01.2022 We've recently purchased a large range of new gross motor climbing equipment with funds that we sourced through a State Government grants program. It's fantastic gear that the children really enjoy exploring. However there's not enough room in our shed to store all of our equipment so we reached out to Wallsend Youngsters on the Summit Intergenerational Playgroup and they have collected a range of equipment that will now have a new lease of life!

05.01.2022 Thanks also to Raphael and Amanda for the lovely chocolates! They are wonderful!!

04.01.2022 Wallsend Public School are now taking enquiries from families about their School Readiness program. We have flyers at the centre for families who may be interested.
