Now weve discovered that ergonomically this can be debilitating and having the monitors at the correct height to the viewer is very important. Add to that the ability to sit and stand at your desk, and your monitors are now either at the correct height when youre sitting but not standing, and vice versa. Stand up straight with your arms to your sides, and raise your forearms up with your wrists straight until they are at a 90 from your body. This rough guide will help you find your optimum operating height. If the desk doesnt go that high and remain sturdy, then its not the desk for you.

06.01.2022 Anti Collision is for the desk, not for you. A lot of sit stand desks have a feature called anti-collision, where the desk will sense it has collided with something while moving, and bounce the other way to avoid damage. But getting your fingers stuck between two desktops is painful, and the desk may not register a collision as it would a more solid object. Always be mindful of yourself and others when operating a sit stand desk, and keep a 30mm gap between the desktop and its surrounding furniture.
