02.01.2022 Leg press gets a bad wrap in a lot of places. It can, however, be a great tool for adding mass, getting volume into your legs and places minimal load through your spine. It is also a great tool to use for taller athletes when something like a squat looks more like a giraffe tying its own shoe. Sometimes you need to pick your battles, and utilising the leg press in this situation can be a great alternative.

Our advice was; ... 1) Stop the group classes and focus on resistance training 2) focus on your nutrition The group classes were OUR group classes. We are very honest with our clients. Group classes are a great way to get in a lot of exercise, get a good sweat on and be social. However they have a ceiling. Our group classes are better than most, but for most people, you need more than just working hard for 45 minutes at a time to garnish real results. Kate is now doing resistance training with our exercise scientist Eddie, following a tailored program with a focus on progression each week and TRAINING BY HERSELF. Taking some accountability for your own training can be a great way to break out of your comfort zone and start to see some real changes. Nutrition is the other key aspect. We gave Kate some advice and let her know when she reaches another plataue, it's probably time to see our amazing dietician to get some more structure and expert advice around this also. We have set Kate up on a plan that is sustainable. One that will last a lifetime, not just 12 week until she can't barw it anymore. We really can't wait to see what the future holds.
