23.01.2022 Top Qualities of a Massage Therapist 1: Professionalism. It is important to remember that a massage therapy clinic is a business, and every business person must have a high degree of professionalism and politeness. ... 2: Good Communication using Effective communication involves both speaking and listening and knowing what is being said on a deeper level by listening for trigger words. 3: Empathy: Being able to understand a person with zero judgement and put yourself in their shoes and show compassion and have a nurturing understanding attitude. This should be the top of the list. 4: Friendliness: Having a friendly happy dispostion certainly helps with communication as well as understanding a clients needs and knowing when to be quiet. There are a lot of friendly therapists who love to talk, too much. If you have one, it is your right to ask them to be quiet so you can relax and enjoy your massage for maximum benifit. I normally take my que from the client but prefer to focus in my work and not spend it talking. 5: Cleanliness: This is of paramount importance both from the massage therapist and the table and equipment they use. If it doesnt look to be 100% clean, leave! 6: Towel Technique: To me, towel technique is everything as it, is what keeps a persons dignity in tact. If you do not feel comfortable at any time and you feel exposed, speak up and tell the therapist to ensure you are covered correctly and are using appropriate sized towels for your body type. At no given time should any part of your body be exposed except unless it is your buttocks being worked on and only partial exposure one side at a time should be done. If not report them. You should never feel exposed at any time. Some exceptions may differ for a Lomi Lomi Massage. 7: PASSION: This to me is what makes AH-MAZING massage therapists standout against ordinary ones. They LOVE their work, they are extremely passionate and genuine about helping people in pain. There are those who just massage for a living, for the money and there are those who truly are great at what they do. In all my 23 years as a Remedial massage therapist I have had an exhorbatant amount of massages in my time and I have come across, only 5 awesome therapists, who knew exactly what they were doing. And all of them were Japanese and Chinese and who I learnt a great deal from working along side of 3 of them also. My style is immitated from them, which makes me stand out from the crowd also. Dont get me wrong, my likes and your likes can be completely different, so your therapist could be amazing for you.

17.01.2022 Your mind can heal your body, it takes focus and commitment and not the quick fix of pills that dont focus on the actual issue. Ths issues lie deep within your subconscious mind.

07.01.2022 There are many varieties of massage modalities to choose from. How to find one that best suits you can be quite daunting with so many massage styles available these days. It all depends on what you are wanting. As everybodies pain threshhold and needs is quite different.... THE TOP 3 MASSAGE STYLES PEOPLE REQUEST ARE: 1: SWEDISH/RELAXATION: If you are wanting a soft light massage to simply relax and rejuvinate and destress, I would go with a Swedish massage which is the basic massage, so any therapist should be able to apply these techniques. Dont be shy in asking the therapist to go lighter or firmer which ever you desire, although they should be asking you all the way through the massage, how it is feeling. 2: SPORTS: When done right, sports massage can boost your physical performance, speed up muscle repair, and help you recover from injuries. This therapy is a staple in any athlete's routine. 3: Remedial massage can stimulate the blood supply, make joints more mobile, and help to repair damaged tissues. The therapist will aim to balance the length, tone and tension of muscles and tendons, which restores the correct position of the bones, increases blood flow and helps heal injuries.
