Feeling is the very essence of what makes you human. Being angry can show you that youre passionate about something. Being sad can show you that you care about someone. ... So no, the problem isnt that the emotion is bad. The problem is when theres a build up of unresolved emotions that causes you to erupt over something little, throwing your relationships and wellbeing into turmoil. 10.01.2022 Suffering can keep you trapped in misery. When you find the courage and willingness to heal and move forward, acceptance can set you free. Please know that acceptance doesnt mean staying in an abusive or toxic situation. It simply means that you stop believing the lies that things will change, accept that it is what it is and make a decision about what direction you want to take your future. Then, take a step in that direction.
09.01.2022 Time to practice what I preach! All my plans and tasks for the night will have to wait, my body needed rest. This means its ok that I didnt do all the things on my list, its ok if the house is a mess and I didnt get to the dishes or do the washing. I give myself permission to let it go without guilt. My body is the only vehicle I have to get me through this life so its important I take care of it. When it needs rest, it lets me know. Over the years Ive learnt the hard... way to honour this need for rest when it arises, instead of continuing to push my body until it breaks. I know this isnt easy for everyone, but where you can, try to honour your body by taking a break, breathing, setting things aside that can wait til tomorrow or doing some self care. Your body loves you but it needs your help to nurture it so it can continue to support you through this life. Xx
