17.01.2022 Bullet Journal For Business About 2 years ago I bought a bullet journal in the hopes that it would help me stay organised. I found myself dropping the ball.... Forgetting an email here, not following up there and I had about a million notebooks and diaries and no organisational system to be able to find anything ever again. Enter bullet journalling. I've been through many iterations of bullet journalling and I continue to iterate depending on how many clients I have and really what season the business is in. And I love it Nothing has helped me have everything together more than this system. It allows me to have everything in one place and I'm able to refer to it easily whenever I need to. This actually helped me the other day when I had a phone call with a past client and I was able to refer back to a meeting in November last year and see what was discussed (because of my note-taking system). This system has meant I don't have to have a million different books for ideas, thoughts, journalling, calendars, checklists or tracking - I just do it in the one place. It never feels messy and more importantly, I never feel out of control As a caveat - I do use Google calendar to calendar block my time and if you're interested I'd be happy to make a video about that if you think it would be helpful Do you use a bullet journal? 10.01.2022 5 TIPS TO GET YOUR FIRST 500 FOLLOWERS ON IG Full video in comments I know a lot of people struggle with IG and I think deep down there is this subconscious expectation that going viral is the answer.... It's not. We have to stop putting virality on a pedestal and go for consistent, incremental growth. These tips are designed to help you do that. I don't claim to have a massive IG following, in fact, I find it as time consuming and incremental as the next person however, I've grown different accounts across different industries (some I've grown quite big ~50kish and some are still small or smaller than mine and all that's in between). These tips I have implemented at one point or another for a client or for myself and have found them to be the best by far to grow when you're starting from zero (or very few followers). 09.01.2022 Facebook organic reach.... is it dead yet? I feel like that horse gets flogged every year and the answer is still always a solid NO. You see, Zucks wants you to have a good time on there as regular ol' you but he makes his money off of businesses.... Organic reach is never going to die. It makes no sense for it to die from a business stand point and even from a customer stand point. I know we all get those annoying ads that make us go "what the heck were they thinking when targeting me?!" BUT how many times have you been served up ads that cause you to click. How many times have you found something you truly wanted because of an ad? Maybe it was an opt-in. Maybe it was a product? MAYBE you visited a website and didn't buy but they retargeted you and now you get a discount on the very thing you wanted but didn't purchase. It doesn't really matter. Either way - Facebook organic reach is a real thing and there are ways to maximise your presence on that platform. As someone who day in and day out creates content for brands, stores and service providers I get a pretty good first hand look at what works and what tanks. It doesn't really matter what type of business you are, there are content formats and styles that typically work across most. The spacing is weird, fat thumbs is real and it's honestly just super annoying having a tiny screen.... 05.01.2022 You know the feeling of posting and posting and creating content and posting more and getting nothing from it? It. Is. Disheartening. Is it not?... I have been doing this for many years now for all sorts of brands (personal and corporate) and here’s what I know - When you stop placing a world of expectation on one piece of content (ie worrying what people think and how much engagement it gets) and start placing VALUE on what you do and how you can share it, that’s when content works. People can feel authenticity. People can spot strategy and frameworks and calculation. People KNOW when you’re ticking a box. Stop thinking about content as a stand alone checkbox in your business. Start thinking if it as an extension of you and your expertise. Remember what it’s like to feel excited and he obsessed with what you do! Create from that place in order to turn heads! One piece of content can change everything. But also - one piece of content day after day coming from a place of excitement and obsession WILL change everything over time. So remember, Keep showing up! Maybe I need to do a training on how to get excited/grow obsessed with what you do?
