25.01.2022 Today is the International Day of Sign Languages & National Week of Deaf People! As part of the recognition, a number of the AFL clubs have delivered messages of support to the deaf and hard of hearing community and footy supporters. If you check out the video, you will notice a familiar Sharks face in Sam Cartledge, who has slotted in nicely just before Adam Goodes. ... The Sharks are proud to celebrate the deaf and hard of hearing community and are thankful for its many members who have pulled on the blue and gold guernsey.

24.01.2022 It’s official. The season has been cancelled. It’s obviously not what we were working towards for the year, which sucks for everyone involved. We understand the decision wasn’t made lightly and it has the health and well-being of all participants across the league in mind. The committee will meet within the next few weeks to discuss next steps and a work on a plan for next season.... Thanks to everyone for their support for the season to date and we’ll update the Sharks community if anything further arises! Stay tuned and go sharks!

24.01.2022 Finally we're allowed back at the footy and what an even better way to spend a mid-April Saturday, then returning to Shark Park to catch up with old mates. If you're an ex player, official or any other kind of member, come on down, see some old friends and enjoy watching the boys take on South Melbourne. 22.01.2022 Our good friends at OpenCorp are running a FREE ‘Investment Strategy Knockout' webinar this Thursday, September 24 (two sessions - 12:30pm & 7:00pm) - Positive Cashflow?... - Capital growth? - Shares? - Apartments? - Commercial? Are they the only options to consider? The old saying ‘ all boats float on a rising tide’ is no longer true for investors. Take real estate for example. Each capital city market now has many smaller markets within it. There are also many different investment options. Conflicting news, differing opinions and contrasting information about investing has left many Australians confused as to how they should grow their wealth and secure future. Some investors are looking for bargains, others are making risky short-term decisions but most are too confused to make any decision at all. In this webinar, we will compare the different investment strategies, as well as their pros and cons so you can decide for yourself which one is right for you. REGISTER FOR THE WEBINAR at https://www.opencorp.com.au/investment-strategy-knockout/

11.01.2022 To all of our members & supporters, As a club, we are staying prepared for the notice of the season being back underway. Morale within the playing group is high and the boys are keen to have a kick as soon as they can. The committee are in regular discussions with the VAFA and Whitehorse council around the state of play and we're prepared as a club to kick it back into gear as soon as we can. We just wanted to share the below message from the AFL around timings and to let all... of our members, supporters and wider family that we appreciate your support throughout this time and fingers crossed we can get out onto Shark Park sooner rather then later! A message from AFL: In the week beginning May 11, there will be an announcement from the elite game with a proposed date for a resumption of training and return to play for Community Football and NAB AFL Auskick. An update around timings for a resumption of activity at Community level, will be provided once the roadmap for the elite competition has been announced. Pleasingly, Governments across Australia are well aware that it will be vital for local sport to resume and re-connect support networks that are currently stretched or not operating. We continue to focus on being aligned with the advice of the government and the relevant medical authorities and are ensuring everything we do protects the health and safety of our participants and wider community. GO SHARKS!
