24.01.2022 Thank you to the team at the Maple Summit Film Festival for making Apprev. an Official Selection. On this day of all days, we are very proud of our story.

21.01.2022 We are pleased to announce that Apprev. is in contention for Best International Short Film at the 11th Underground Cinema Film Festival in Dublin. This is the annual version of their monthly event, and our film has made the final. The festival goes from September 4th to 6th, 2020, and with Covid-19 has now gone totally online. They were planning to have their usual venue with 500 seats, but Ireland is basically in the same lockdown as Victoria. Festival director Dave Byrne has put together an awesome lineup this time around. When we had our initial screening a few weeks ago, Apprev. was involved with the highest viewership that the festival has ever had. Let's hope the judges like it too!

20.01.2022 Apprev. is being shown at the Underground Cinema Festival in Dublin from Friday morning (Melbourne time). If there is one benefit to Covid-19, it's that this festival is now online, so you don't have to go to Ireland to watch it. By my estimate, Covid-19 has just saved you around $10,000.00 in airfares and accommodation. And you won't have to go into quarantine when you get back.... You're welcome.

19.01.2022 Elfenshot Films says thank you to the judges of the Madras Independent Film Festival! Apprev. won for best drama as well as an individual win from Adam Rowland’s lead acting performance. We are extremely humbled by these awards and are glad once again that our story has connected with an international audience.

19.01.2022 We started Covidrama as a little lockdown side project to tide everyone over until the pandemic came to an end; a good way to give actors some practice and to keep the editing skills fresh. As it turns out, the pandemic is still with us. Here is the 11th version.... https://www.youtube.com/watch

16.01.2022 Yes! Victoria's snap lockdown is coming to an end and we'll be having our cast and crew screening for Apprev. on Sunday night at Lido Cinemas in Hawthorn. Usually you're supposed to have this before the festival run, but I think we all know what's gone down in the past 12 months.

16.01.2022 A couple more 'Official Selection' notifications for Apprev., with Prague and Madras.

15.01.2022 A review of Apprev. from Mother of Movies and Series Reviews.

14.01.2022 Our short film Apprev. is now online and available for viewing on YouTube! Thank you to all of the people who helped to make this happen, and to the international film festivals who had us along. "On their third anniversary, Ilona gets Thomas a 'special' present - a meeting with an Apprev. consultant, to have his Mandatory Vasectomy reversed. Thomas soon realises that getting an Approved Reversal (Apprev.) is not going to be easy, and just how little control he has over his o...Continue reading

14.01.2022 Thanks to everyone at WWCSFF Film Festivals for Apprev.'s Special Mention for the summer festival!

13.01.2022 Apprev. is having its world television premiere on Monday night! Champions of independent filmmaking in Melbourne, Wombat and Goose present "Outta the Can" has lined up Apprev. alongside Curated Illusions in their first-ever double bill. 12.01.2022 Our cast and crew screening for Apprev. at Melbourne’s Lido Cinemas was a fantastic night. Kieran’s best actor awards from Rome International and Screen Power in London only helped to make it even more enjoyable. It’s great to see talent of this calibre rewarded.

12.01.2022 Darren is selling himself a little short, here. Not only was he our behind the scenes photographer, he also got involved with taking images used as set decoration throughout the film.

12.01.2022 Hey! I got interviewed! Great questions from Leah, and all of her other interviews are really insightful and worth checking out. Thank you for having me.

11.01.2022 Here’s what’s next up on the Elfenshot Films agenda.

09.01.2022 Apprev. is having an online screening at Dublin's Underground Cinema Film Festival, on Thursday August 6th at 7:30pm GMT (which works out to 4:30am Australian Eastern Standard Time). The films from this festival are available to watch for 12 hours from when they go live, so you don't have to get up at 4:30 to watch them live. You can also just watch the movies that you want. The one thing that you do have to do is become a member (free) of the Underground Cinema Film Festival.... You can do this by going to their website www.underground-cinema.com Also, here is the Facebook event for the festival https://www.facebook.com/events/306430287392511 To everyone who has been hanging out to see Apprev., this is a good way to save $25.00 on a film festival ticket, and you can watch it in your jammies.

08.01.2022 Here's the latest iteration of our lockdown side project 'Covidrama'. This is #9. Six actors all filming themselves whilst in isolation, with no direction (at all), and just the script to work with. https://youtu.be/zwH8mMCH07E

07.01.2022 Fantastic news overnight from London that Apprev. has won three awards at the Screen Power Film Festival: Best Actor - Adam Rowland Best Child Actor / Actress - Kieran Cochrane... Best Foreign Language Short Film - Apprev. We are ecstatic that the recognition has come for Adam and Kieran. Adam's character goes through a fair bit in the story, and Kieran was forced to tread a fine line between precociousness and innocence. The performances from all of the cast in Apprev. are of the highest quality, and these awards are icing on the cake for everybody's hard work.

07.01.2022 Apprev. Official Selection for the Screen Power Film Festival in London for 2020.

07.01.2022 Like this one. Yes, okay, I'm the world's laziest filmmaker.

05.01.2022 Just saw this one hit the timeline! Apprev. is back on TV again tonight, thanks to Wombat and Goose. Channel 31, 9:30pm. This is a repeat of the same show from a few months ago, and W&G's take on our film from the first time around was right on the money.

05.01.2022 Apprev. has been awarded best drama at the Rome International Movie Awards! In addition, Kieran Cochrane has won best young actor! This is Kieran's second acting win for our film and we are thrilled that the world's film festival judges are recognising his talent. Thank you to the judges in Rome from everyone at Elfenshot Films.

05.01.2022 Two more official selections for Apprev. Slovakia and Italy. Both festivals had a massive amount of global entries, so it's good for everyone involved in the production to be getting some recognition.

04.01.2022 Thanks to Peter for helping to promote our film at Queensland's AFIN.

01.01.2022 Here's another version of Covidrama! Let's just say, this one had some editing 'challenges'. Who can find my deliberate editing mistakes? Still, it is great fun and enjoyable. Still more to come. Thank you to Bree Edwards, Connor Clarke, Kate Thurkle, Andy Berry-Brown, Christina Arampatzi, Randy Adeva.... https://youtu.be/ao7naT7mwAI

01.01.2022 Whoops! Missed yesterday's birthday for Apprev. actor Sandy Morrison. Happy birthday!
