20.01.2022 Not Happy! This NT Frill Neck Lizard has his frill up as a defence. In the sun the colours of a fully open frill can be pretty. The frill is more often a bluff as they will turn and run. Bites can be painful and have skin reactions in some people. They can be very tame in captivity.

12.01.2022 Please remember your animals during this extreme heat period. The temperature is and will be higher than normal body temperature for us humans and most species of animals. Ensure adequate fresh water... Consider heat requirements for reptils and if heat can be turned off Water spraying appropriate species Watering down dogs, birds etc Take dogs, cats etc out if heat and inside where possible Have a fire and evacuation plan Do not leave animals or humans in hot car for even minutes Assist fruends and neighbours Note - soft drink and alcoholic drinks will not rehydrate you and may cause dehydration. Drink water and stay out of the sun Taje care of you and your family and animals

Hosted at the Melbourne Showgrounds it’s a day the whole family can enjoy with plenty of animals on ...display and for sale from Australia’s leading breeders, reptile shops and wildlife demonstrators. There will be plenty of presentations on the day with talks by some of Australia’s leading vets, herpetologists and this year we are lucky enough to world renown herpetologist Mark O’Shea in attendance for a special presentation and meet and greet. There will also be plenty of entertainment for the kids with jumping castles, face painting, wildlife displays and more on throughout the day. Plenty of parking available on site as well.
