03.01.2022 Today I have received this email from the DPTI- Notice to all Motor Driving Instructors and Authorised Examiners On 9 April 2020, the State Coordinator made a Direction under the Emergency Management Act 2004 to suspend all driver training and assessment services for the issue of a car licence effective from Friday 10 April 2020.... This new Direction is upon advice of the Chief Public Health Officer, and provides greater protection of South Australians, in line with the COVID19 physical distancing recommendations. This means that learner drivers for a car licence will not be able to obtain the services of a licensed Motor Driving Instructor or an Authorised Examiner to undertake driver training or assessment for the issue of a car drivers licence. People who hold a learners permit will still be able to undertake driver training with a parent or other Qualified Supervising Driver who is living in the same house as the learner driver. Driver training and assessment services for obtaining a heavy vehicle licence will remain available at this time due to the larger area of heavy vehicle cabins, which allows for greater physical distancing. I will be in contact with all current clients and advise them directly. I will also be contacting all current clients once the restrictions are lifted and we are able to commence lessons and VORTs again. STAY SAFE EVERYONE MARTIN PACZEK
