19.01.2022 Over the year of treating horses in myotherapy I have developed a passion for advocating rider body alignment. Prior to studying Equine myotherapy I studied veterinary nursing and then a Bachelor of Nursing (humans) through Monash uni where I'm still a practising as a registered nurse, so I have an extensive knowledge of anatomy & biology. We spend so much money on our horses wellbeing as loving owners with vet, chiropractic, accupuncture, myotherapy, farrier, dentist, saddl...er, bit fitter ect. But if all these things are done and the rider is suffering soreness, body alignment issues, shortening or tightness through the body these transfer to the horse, who then needs to compensate leading to soreness and even lameness if left untreated. Try carrying a back pack filled unevenly and the body will compensate, try this walking, & running daily & you will start to experience pain and unevenness in your own stride. Regular human massage, accupuncture, physio or chiro is good to maintain. 16.01.2022 I often have people ask where I did my course. So if you are interested the diploma course is now commencing in 2020. I only have a small clientele now as juggling my profession as a reg div 1. Nurse, mum of 2, my own riding horses and a property leaves little time to enjoy the moments with my littlies without the rush. Myotherapy really is a great passion and I continue to read, learn, liaise with other professionals & attend personal professional development to help improve our & my clients equine partners

15.01.2022 I was lucky enough to attend a Monolo & Dr. Kerry Ridgeway 2 day clinic a few years ago. Unfortunately Dr. Kerry passed away before I could attend the 2nd workshop. Monolo is a magician with a horse very in tune with respect to the horses as individuals.

11.01.2022 Walking Walking Walking. Walk is great for alot of reasons and is a great warming up and cooling down tool but it's also a calming tool. I see so many people working horses down for long periods of time in trot and canter at shows. This has the opposite effect, walk relax walk, if horse becomes anxious walk its a de-stress tool.

02.01.2022 To all my valued clients as you all are aware we are in the midst of a global pandemic that is Covid19. As most of you know I'm a Registered Nurse and therefore at the forefront of health care in my roll. My patients health & safety are of utmost importance to me as well as my little family & my clients within Elite Performance Therapies. So I have made the difficult but necessary decision to put on hold my equine myotherapy business at this time. I can happily recommend myotherapy practitioners who I trust through pm.
