25.01.2022 | Acute Strain in Internal Oblique | This high level touch footballer presented with an acute strain to internal oblique in the Anterior Oblique Sling last week. The Anterior Oblique Sling contributes to stability and swing in gait and acceleration/ deceleration/ changes of direction. After doing some pelvic stabilisation testing and muscle testing using the Bridges Protocol (Taught by Thuy Bridges CKTI in Kinesio Taping Level 3), it showed that taping the anterior oblique sling, lower fibers of psoas, and ASIS reduced the pain to minimal levels and greatly improved gait. Patient return 3 days later and reported no pain and had normal gait. Patient was able to return to touch football practice on Sunday.

10.01.2022 | Beaned To The Elbow With A Baseball! | This patient was beaned to his elbow while playing baseball and had severe inflammation and lost of range of motion in both extension and flexion. The before image is 9 days after the incident. Note the swelling and bruising still present. Patient was lymphaticly taped with Kinesio Fancut using the Kinesio Taping Method to reduce swelling, increase range of motion, and reduce pain. Patient reported that swelling had almost disappeared entirely within 3 hours of being taping and ROM had increased significantly with much lower pain levels. We are still working on achieving full ROM.
