22.01.2022 Meet the tiniest chameleon found on earth.!! The Brookesia-micra chameleon. Researchers have recently discovered a new chameleon species, which rank among the world's tiniest reptiles. Adults of the smallest species are just over an inch from snout to tail. Three other species have also been found that belong to the same genus as Brookesia, also known as the leaf chameleons, which live in remote rainforests in northern Madagascar.... The Brookesia-micra chameleon species grow to only just over a half-inch (16 millimeters) from nose to tail, making them one of the smallest vertebrates ever found on Earth.!! so tiny and incredibly vulnerable, these cuties are definitely one of my top favourite animals.. the team at Brisbane snake catchers are interested to know what your favourite reptiles are, feel free to post in comments below www.brisbane-snake-catcher.com.au Save our number in your phone 0434146109 Photo Credit - unknown.

We were then called out to come to relocate him, shortly after our arrival we spotted him hiding amongst the leaf litter on the ground. 06.01.2022 UNBELIEVABLE 'DALMATION' MAGPIE We thought we would share these amazing shots of this Dalmation looking magpie we came across. The Magpie was spotted in Geelong, Melbourne and photographed by Sandy Goddard who happened to spot it by accident and originally thought it was a rock of some sort until she seen movement. The appearance is attributed to a rare condition called leucism which happens to be a genetic variation in cells that causes a variation of black pigment. Sandy Goddard

02.01.2022 Red belly black snake faces family dog in Birkdale. We were called out to a property in Birkdale yesterday for this beautiful Red bellied black snake that unfortunately came face to face with the customers dog and was attacked. The snake wasnt in good shape at all, sadly he has several bite wounds, two of them were only millimeters away from puncturing his heart hes now being cared for by the staff at Wacol wildlife hospital. During snake season sadly we see this a lot thi...s was most likely a mature male looking for a female. Snakes often become a little more careless during this particular part of snake season as they only have a short window of opportunity to find a mate.
