16.01.2022 I just wanted to extend my gratitude to all of the wonderful people involved and a part of our studio. It has been so rewarding this week to be back in our studio and physically connecting with you all. Thank you to everyone that supports the studio... you know who you are!! Teachers, students and parents...! Past and present! I am honoured to say we have generations returning to our studio... even successful teachers that were once our students now teach for us, even student...s I’ve known for 20 years!! How awesome is that. Im so grateful for you all and to be back in the studio this week. I can often walk into class tired and beaten down from my working day... but I am guaranteed to leave the studio on a high and buzzing with excitement from sharing and creating with you all. - So much happiness is within our studio and great sense of community!! 15.01.2022 Student Spotlight! This week we asked Ellie some questions about her time at Elite. We love Ellie’s attitude towards learning and being a part of our community. 1. How long have you been dancing at Elite? This is my 5th year at Elite. ... 2. What made you start dance classes and what has kept you dancing? I started dancing because i loved watching dance videos on youtube and watching dance movies and t.v shows and I wanted to learn how to move like that! I still dance because I love the feeling I get when dance and how powerful and confident I feel. 3. How have you handled VCE studies and dance class simultaneously? The studio has been so understanding if I need to miss a class to study for a sac, and they always make sure I’m caught up to speed the next week! I’ve found it can be really good to take a break from studying and focus on dance for a bit particularly if I’m feeling stressed. 4. What is your favourite thing about dancing? There’s so many aspects I love about dancing but a some of my favourites are grooving with my friends and the feeling you get when you master a new skill you’ve been trying to perfect. 5. What is your biggest dance achievement? I think my biggest dance achievement is how much my confidence has grown. When I first started I was very unsure of how my body moved and how to feel comfortable with sassy routines. However now I LOVE a good jazz dance and I’m proud of how much I’ve grown and improved.
