24.01.2022 REHAB As mentioned in my recent story, around 4-5 weeks ago I suffered a partial tear to my Triceps Tendon and Medial Collateral Ligament (MCL). The focus of my rehab was to re-strengthen the triceps and strengthen the muscles in the forearm to help take some pressure off of the elbow joint. Another focus, was to correct the slight changes in my shoulder positioning due to wearing a sling for a couple of weeks. ... So after a couple of weeks of rest and rehab, I’ve finally been given the green light to return to light weight training, meaning I’ll be able to return to massaging very soon! Big shoutout to Rabie from @swphysiorehab for helping me rebuild strength and movement in my arm and getting me back to massaging sooner than imagined! Bookings will be reopening soon, so keep your eyes out for that announcement

20.01.2022 WHAT IS A REMEDIAL MASSAGE? A Remedial Massage is used to provide relief for muscles and tendons that are damaged, knotted, tense or restricted in their movement. For accurate treatments, some forms of testing (Range of Motion, Postural Analysis, etc) are taken place to better understand the condition of the client. ... A treatment will typically involve the Therapist using their hands, knuckles, elbows and forearms on various parts of the clients’ body. If necessary, the Therapist will also use other techniques such as Dry Needling, Cupping, etc for added results and benefits. Does this sound like something you need? If so, DM me for a booking!

03.01.2022 SELF TREATMENT As a Massage Therapist, I spend most days treating people and giving them advice on how to stretch and telling them that they should rest more often but always tend to forget to do it for myself With work, training and now bouldering little pains and tenderness always creep up due to overuse. So I’ve decided to spend a little time, treating myself to prevent those little pains becoming anything serious. ... Yes, it’s hard and awkward to treat your own back but where there’s a will, there’s a way and a lot of struggling in between
