25.01.2022 We had an interesting delivery for a client the other day, as we dropped off 4 Bulka bags of various mulches to Zambi Wildlife Retreat Zambi Native Wildlife Sanctuary. Zambi is an animal welfare charity, which offers a resort style retirement retreat for animals that have retired from the circus, entertainment industry, zoo breeding programs and private ownership. Zambi is not open for public walk-ins, however does offer exclusive visits by appointment only, for small groups of up to 6 persons only. 23.01.2022 This is just a quick look at some of the machinery being used at our Mid-West Council project in Mudgee. Each stage in the line planting process requires specialised equipment to ensure correct distribution and installation of the turf, which in turn will allow for optimal growth and minimal turf die off. This work is completed by Evergreen Turf, who have hand picked our products to make this project come to life. keep an eye out for more on the line-planting process next week!

15.01.2022 Here is an example of the massive Silt Ponds, which can be found at our partner Quarry, Dixon Sand. It's hard to believe, however the amazing colour actually comes from the minerals in the water, and not from our editing in post. These ponds are an important part of the washing and cleaning process that all of our premium sand products go through. After material is brought in from the quarry, it is washed and cleaned in the plant, before the leftover water and silt are then pumped back to the silt ponds to deposit any unwanted clays. This water is then then recycled to wash new materials which come through the plant once again. This is what the site looks like soon after clearing the field of grass, weeds and other plants, and once all plant matter has been removed, the site is levelled off to prepare for ground work such as the installation of irrigation systems. 04.01.2022 What is this machine doing? This is part of a process known as line-planting, and is a cost effective way to install turf, especially in large areas such as sporting fields. Here the machine is cutting up the turf rolls into smaller sections to be dropped on the ground. In this case, only 10% of the total area of turf is required to be installed, and the rest will fill in as the turf naturally grows and spreads out. Check out our videos for more information...
