05.01.2022 As a National Director of SPAAL I have approached the Queensland Executive Director Office of Fair Trading this morning and have been just advised that it is th...e Executive Director's intention to provide a grace period of 6 months for "renewal training' to be undertaken by security providers throughout Queensland. As you can appreciate there is a number of procedural requirements to be undertaken but I have been assured it is a priority for his department. Official advice from the Office of Fair Trading on this matter will be forwarded in the near future. As the Managing Director of BARS Training Australia who regards so many of you as personal friends and close colleagues, I will also be doing everything in my power to support you in these troubling times. I will still be conducting training and consultancy services and welcome you to contact me should they need assistance or advice. To this end, I have launched encrypted online video conferencing facility on the BARS website, not only to teach Responsible Management of Licensed Venues (RMLV) online but provide consultancy advice and support to the security and hospitality industries.
