19.01.2022 Aussie Breadtags for Wheelchairs - Thank you to everyone for your amazing help collecting bread tags and passing on. Thank you , thank you. This project is so amazing, innovative, helpful and inspiring in so many ways. We are organising a batch now to reach South Australia and then 'Transmutation: reduce, reuse, recycle' in Robe. Here the bread tags are amazingly made into bowls and serving boards that then are sold to fund wheelchairs in need in South Africa. It takes 18...70 bread tags to make a bowl and 5500 bread tags to make a serving board. Video link below if keen to see Brad create a bowl. Picture of bowl attached. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kj-fbqO2QzU From starting in February 2019 until recently (mid September) 'Aussie Breadtags for Wheelchairs' has collected 2 tonnes of bread tags,which is approximately 5.4 million bread tags saved from landfill which in turn has funded 9 wheelchairs. Michael in Kraaifontein recently received a wheelchair. So amazing. Keep collecting, thank you so much Monique and Heidi say thank you too with a little collage they created to participate in a 'Aussie Breadtag for Wheelchairs' art project.

07.01.2022 We had it all last night at the Hawkers Beer Monday night finals East Coburg Tennis Club , the true home of tennis. We had done amazing results all round including an out of shape racquet. Congratulations to all players, with winners Mario winning Div 1 against Sieng in a third set tie breaker. Kon who won the Div 1 repechage event. Kate getting up against Steph in the Div 2 finals whilst Alicia won a suddent detah point in the final set tie breaker in Div 3 against the undefeated Alina. Oh, and there was also a racquet that came up second best against someone who shall remain nameless. Tonight is Tuesday night finals. Registrations for next season close on Monday April 12 and commence on April 19 and 20.
