25.01.2022 A bit of home DIY cupcake decorating with cousins, the ones that we’re allowed to see, during our morning of celebrating! A bit of fun,Darcy may not have got to the decorating before taste testing it!

24.01.2022 Pretty impressed with my bread today, given it was my first try at this recipe,my oven turned off mid bake & they’re was some guessing involved! We had ricotta gnocchi & I blended the left over sauce from the shanks last night for the sauce!

24.01.2022 Came across this & thought I’d repost!Thought it might be helpful Who doesn’t love a cheat sheet!

24.01.2022 Do you rinse your rice before cooking?I have to admit I don’t always, depending on the method I’m using Have you ever rinsed it in your thermomix? To give you an idea, these pictures are before, after 30 seconds & after a further 30 seconds.... With your rice in your simmering basket & on speed 4! So simple!

Enhanced Pre-Clean Warm Up Mode Videos on your TM6 Love how the TM6 just keeps getting better & with more functions!Right from your home!

21.01.2022 POPCORN! I love it & my boys love it just as much! How do you make yours?... Pop it in a paper bag in the microwave? Do you buy it already popped? Do you buy microwave popcorn? In a fry pan on the stove? That’s how I’ve been doing it & sprinkling with my sweet & salty seasoning (milled sugar & salt in the thermomix) when it’s almost popped.Leave it for a few more minutes for the rest to pop,a few shakes along the way,the salt & sugar starts to melt & you have crunchy sweet & salty popcorn! Delish!Snack sorted!

21.01.2022 And this is why I’ve never made brownies before...such squishy, chewy, yummy goodness!Probably shouldn’t be on my regular baking list! Inspiration was from the flood of brownie pictures on my Insta lately but used the recipe from Eraldo's Kitchen & converted it to the thermomix. Melted the butter & chocolate together.... Placed the butterfly in the bowl, added everything else & mixed for 50 seconds speed 4. Scraped edges of bowl & mixed for a further 10 seconds!Into a lined tin & ready for the oven! See more

21.01.2022 Perfect afternoon for some painting in the shade! I have a lil guy that loves footprints at the moment, the baking mats can come in handy, perfect place for paint to start footprints! Amazing what you can find that’s fun to try in paint.Today we had...... *dish brush-also used for clean up! *pastry brush *plastic bottle cap *foam *plastic ball *golf ball *plastic sandpit rake *chubby brushes Shell had some water ready for cleanup of kids & painting things What do you use from around the house in random ways for play!

19.01.2022 Preppin for a little mans ISO birthday today, hoping he enjoys what I have planned Wanted to get most done today so it doesn’t matter how tomorrow goes. & I’m trying something new with his cake,so if it doesn’t work I have time to make another one What are your favourite party treats for kids?... There’ll only be a few of us so don’t want to get too carried away & the cupcakes are for the kids to decorate!

19.01.2022 What’s everyone making for dinner this week? Getting into this meal planning & prepping... Love not having to think about what to make for dinner each night!... Not all cookidoo recipes...& they might not end up in this order!

19.01.2022 Anyone that knows me knows I like to grow some vegetables at home & the boys love digging in the garden!Cos lettuce so far I’ve never been successful... So rather than composting this last week thought I’d see if I could regrow it,looks good so far, time will tell! I have spring onions in the garden at the moment & have previously regrown garlic, celery, potatoes & capsicums! Curious, what do you regrow?

19.01.2022 It’s been a long morning anyone else have kids that are always hungry & mostly impatient when it comes to food? Although I may agree it’s ok to sneak one ball of cookie dough before the tray goes in the oven

16.01.2022 I loved spiders as a kid,the drinks with icecream & lemonade! So I had a thought...I have a SodaStream & a thermomix & fruity dream ice blocks in the freezer.... The boys loved these they were gone so fast, perfect on a hot afternoon.... Mango/banana fruity dream ice blocks in an IKEA cup & topped with water from the soda stream...didn’t add any syrup, thought I’d see what the boys thought first.Add a spoon, give it a stir & ready to go!

16.01.2022 Another customer recommendation! Thanks Carolyn DeGaris Nikalene Riddles LCHF chicken Kiev’s from cookidoo Thermomix in Australia -some with filling in recipe & others with mozzarella & sundried tomatoes! I served it with a one pan roast veggies of beetroot, sweet potato, potato & beans!... Love a meal I can pre prep!

14.01.2022 So massive mum brain today & realised at about 4pm I hadn’t got the chicken out of the freezer to make the skewers for dinner Lucky the fried rice has enough flavour on its own.... Made a lazy version of the chooky rice. Did a triple batch of the sauce & cooked it so I can keep some in the fridge for next time! 350g of rice with some veg & chicken stock sprinkled on top.... A bag of frozen veggies in the varoma. & 3 eggs on the top varoma tray, all cooking while I bathed the kids! See more

13.01.2022 Mum mentioned she had lots of sage in the garden so to a cookidoo search I went! Love how easy it is to search for ingredients you’d like to use, along with so many other options!-Let me know if your not sure if you’re making the most of your cookidoo subscription! So tonight we had the butternut pumpkin (squash),sage & hazelnut tart!... I loved it,nice for a change & I do love pumpkin! Also added the hazelnut skins from some other hazelnuts I needed to roast,as I assume they’re good for you! See more

Veggie for me & classic burgers for Trav & the boys loved building their own rolls!First time trying this burger bun recipe,we all liked them so will definitely be using this recipe again! Yumi's Quality Foods classic veggie burgers for me,still haven’t tried a veggie burger recipe, would love to hear your faves!... These are our go to beef burgers, everyone always enjoys them & they make a big batch,so have a little freezer stash too!Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Classic beef burgers https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r407779 The bun recipe made these 6 & a couple of cheese & garlic ones https://www.recipecommunity.com.au//8jz9uy3n-a9f55-256390-

11.01.2022 Braised lamb shanks from cookidoo tonight,on mash. Tick of approval from Trav, super simple, just takes a while in the oven, but totally worth it,fell off the bone!

11.01.2022 When you have a little man that loves ,your Dad has chickens & Thermomix in Australia brings out an egg boiler mode one happy Mumma! Especially when I’m the queen of getting sidetracked by the boys & loosing track of time! You choose from...... *soft *medium soft *medium *medium hard *hard With descriptions of each,to cook yourself your perfect egg! Handy healthy snack to have in the fridge,& a happy little man!

09.01.2022 When you’re due for another batch of yoghurt & find milk on quick sale $1.00 worth of milk to make over 2 litres of yoghurt! Yoghurt is just one of the many ways we save money having a thermomix...is there anything you buy regularly that you’ve never considered making at home? The first thing I always do when my yoghurt is ready is put my starter aside in the freezer for next time, that way it doesn’t matter if it’s a little longer between batches.... I also reuse my water & vinegar from cleaning my bowl,so have put that back into the milk bottle. First time using this Queen Fine Foods organic vanilla bean paste & it’s delish! Tip...if you’re using your Thermomix in Australia TM6 with fermentation mode & setting it overnight..turn your volume as low as you can

09.01.2022 When we have left over egg whites from our burgers...we whipped up some meringues! Quick & easy to whisk up & hoping these bite sized treats might come in handy while potty training What do you use your butterfly whisk in your thermomix for?

09.01.2022 So we still had some snacks from last week, here’s what I’ve prepared for this week... *Vanilla yoghurt *Canteloupe *Pizza Wraps... *Choc chip cookies *Pineapple *Date & cashew bliss balls *Banana bread-that’s already gone Blakes supposed to be starting kinder this week,so thought bite size might be a good way to start! *Vanilla yoghurt-thermogroovers recipe *Canteloupe *Pizza Wraps-earlier post with how to put these together *Choc chip cookies-https://bakeplaysmile.com/famous-100-cookie-recipe-condens/ *Pineapple *Date & cashew bliss balls-made up recipe but needs a tweak. *Banana bread-that’s already gone Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Banana bread https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r69073

08.01.2022 So happy with how these turned out! My sister picked up this scullery gummy maker for me from @house.online I’d made fruit gummies for one of Blakes birthday parties but the moulds weren’t ideal...these however perfect!... I used: 210g tinned pineapple/juice 2 1/2 tablespoons gelatine powder 2 tablespoons water Blitzed on turbo for 4 seconds in the thermomix. Kettle mode on my thermomix TM6.Or I’d assume bringing up to 100 degrees on speed 1 on other models would work. Pour into moulds & placed in the fridge to set. However you can place ice under the silicon moulds in the trays to set too! I’ve also seen these made with kombucha which I love the idea of!However steering clear of kombucha while pregnant so I’ll get back into it later down the track.

08.01.2022 First time using our Kiddies Food Kutter & Safety Food Peeler - Safe Childrens' Knife & Peeler Perfect when you have little people that love helping Think I’m going to have a 3 year old who wants to be cutting all day ... Mr almost 2,was not so excited about listening & thought stabbing his peach might’ve been a better option That’s ok,first try,we’ll see how we go next time!Might have some kids helping with my food prep

08.01.2022 Who loves their varoma? People often wonder about the capacity of the thermomix,so this will give you an idea! Tonight we had marinated chicken skewers, vegetables & mashed potato!... All cooked at once then popped the butterfly in at the end to mash the potatoes! Notice the egg ring to help the steam circulate in the varoma!

08.01.2022 Special unfried rice from cookidoo tonight, vegetarian style...No meat but with added mushroom & broccoli! Love the all in one thermomix meals, the rice cooks in the bowl, vegetables in the varoma & the eggs in the varoma tray all at once! What are you’re favourite all in one dishes?... Look at this delicious recipe I found on Cookidoo: Special Un-Fried Rice https://cookidoo.com.au/recipes/recipe/en-AU/r339316

07.01.2022 As much as I’m not a fan of pear.Vanilla & pear porridge would be my favourite I think! Blitz the pears & follow the porridge instructions on cookidoo,15 mins later breakfast is ready! What are your favourite porridge flavours?... I add a little less liquid depending on how juicy the pears are & sometimes cook on a slightly lower speed.

07.01.2022 Making ricotta for dinner & wondering if anyone else leaves the lid on while they pour milk into their thermomix, because the splatter drives them crazy

06.01.2022 When you see so many people recommending the lemon meringue cake recipe & lemon meringue is hubby’s fave! I used raw sugar & doubled both the lemon curd & swiss meringue batches. I think it’s the nicest lemon curd recipe I’ve made so far!... It made 11 large muffins & 11 minis,by putting the cupcake moulds into the large muffin moulds while cooking! & I’ve got a jar of lemon curd for the fridge!

04.01.2022 Crispy noodle salad...as a rule I don’t love salad, but this is one I’ve always liked,Mum used to make it & you can find the recipe on the back of Chang's Asian Food original fried noodle packet! It’s quick, easy & with ingredients I usually have, just needed to pick up cabbage.(I did forget the spring onion in the pic) I usually serve it to serve yourself,as if there’s any leftovers the noodles & almonds are best added just before eating!... But I’d love some inspiration please...what are your favourite salads and dressings? Challenging myself to serve atleast one salad a week! Wish me luck Thanks & have a great weekend!

04.01.2022 We had another pizza night last night! What are your favourite pizza toppings? Our usual go to’s are...... Ham Salami Bacon Mushroom Capsicum Onion Pineapple Cheese Bbq sauce Sometimes... Spinach Chicken Sundried tomato Pumpkin Last night the boys had... Pineapple & cheese Pineapple, salami & cheese Exciting hey, anything for a peaceful dinner But isn’t that the best thing about homemade pizza, you can make it just as you like it! & of course Theo’s pizza dough from the recipe community is our go to,no fail!

04.01.2022 Another snack style lunch... Who’s kids love these? What do you fill them with?... Today we have... *Almond vanilla bliss balls *Peaches *Chocolate nut/seed pulp bliss balls *Beans from Pa’s garden! *Canteloupe Never know from day to day what will be their favourite, peaches went first today!
