23.01.2022 This Sunday is the final day to get your pre entries in! We really do appreciate pre entries, as it gives us a good idea of how many entries we have on the day ...and how to plan around that. This year we will also be having a second hand gear sale. The stall will be run by our volunteers so all you have to do is drop your labeled gear off in the morning and you’re free to wander around and look at all gorgeous Brumbies! All items should be clearly labeled with you price, full name, and a contact number can be left with the volunteers, at the end of the day you can come and collect your cash or unsold gear. 20.01.2022 I apologise for the lack of updates but Mini and I have been working on building trust and 1getting Mini 1 comfortable with being touched.. I was working on Mini getting used to the Halter on her nose, then her neck The next step was to put it over her head. Mini is now haltered and learning to lead pressure release and is enjoying being brushed and going out for walks and for picks of grass. #ridley#barastoc#breedngrow#horsefeed... #gotafe See more

01.01.2022 Update 1 Week 2 Elizabeth Grant and VBA Mignon My goal for the past two weeks was to have VBA Mignon (Mini) comfortable with me being in her space and moving around her, while forming a bond with her and having her trust me. The past two weeks have been spent building trust and learning about minis personality, while doing this became quite interested in what humans are and how we interact. During the two weeks after spending a lot of time just chilling with her I started... applying a little bit of pressure, I asked mini questions and waited for her to find the solution. This started with me placing my hand out in front of me and asking Mini to acknowledge that my hand was there. As she got more confident I would ask for a little bit more, by the end of the first week she was getting comfortable taking a step in towards me, now mini is approaching me and getting pats on the head. I believe it is important to take the time to get the foundations right when training horses, this may take a little longer at the beginning of our training but it helps build a confident solid horse.
