24.01.2022 "Untitled" Because I have felt great loss I value love... Because I have known the depths of despair I value hope Because I have endured tribulations I value joy (Adaptation of a Leonard Nimoy poem) This piece was initially cast back in March when l spent a week at a local foundry with a group of artists casting works in bronze. Then over the last couple of months, l have metal chased, played with the patina, and created the other elements that form this piece (zoom in). It will be on display as part of a group exhibition at Gatakers Artspace from August 8th - September 19th.
