21.01.2022 Happy 250th birthday to Elizabeth Macarthur who was a stoic, optimistic, hard working innovator who created the wool industry in Australia. A highly fitting namesake for our great school. A strong pioneering woman who ran a business and large family while her husband was overseas most of their marriage. History will remember her as a famous figure in our country, by no means perfect but left a legacy that endures today at a time where woman weren’t educated and couldn’t vote.
