13.01.2022 This is a very relevant and insightful article describing the challenges that have been faced by bookkeeping practices during this time of upheaval. We had three years to implement the GST, and STP, but we suddenly had to implement JobKeeper in 30 days......But bookkeepers have also become the intermediary between government and business. They had to explain the new stimulus measures to their clients and whether or not they were eligible, then follow up with the ATO if JobKeeper eligibility or the cash flow boost had not been received. All on top of their regular workload. https://insight.thomsonreuters.com.au//jobkeeper-changes-a

12.01.2022 #jobkeeper The Federal Government has announced that JobKeeper will be extended to March 2021 but with a more targeted and tiered system and also with some chan...ges in the rates of the subsidy. (aka JobKeeper 2.0) Businesses will need to re-assess their eligibility for both the December 20 and March 21 quarters of JobKeeper in a similar way to qualifying for the current subsidy. .

11.01.2022 #JobKeeper #SoleTraders The ATO has released the details and updated all their information with JobKeeper for Sole Traders, Trusts, Partnerships and Other Entities aka "Business Participants". I've collated the latest information in a new post on the Blue Emerald website that outlines the updates.... http://blueemerald.com.au//jobkeeper-sole-traders-trusts-/
