25.01.2022 Photos from Midwest Dressage competition on Saturday. A total of 6 tests for myself with 3 different rides, very happy with how they all went with 4 of the 6 t...ests above 70%. Aryline Ferrari (Enzo) 64% 1B and 71% 1C with plenty of consistent 7's and 7.5s and positive comments. Wendamar Narita settled into the arena well for 2 super scores in Prep A 74% and Prep C 75%. After a bad run with ulcers these last few months we are now on the right track health and fitness wise. Ana Diva (Greta) Smashed the Novice 2B as usual with a 74.6% and stepped up to Elementary for a respectable score and no major dramas with the difficulty of the test. We even had time for a few extra movements thanks to the gale force winds and things being a little spooky, but we survived! Heike competed Husson Maid (Maude) for 2 very kindly ridden tests and even stepped up to Novice! They received the Judges Choice Encouragment Award at the Dressage Day which was very unexpected by Heike, however, most definitely deserved. Thank you MDA for coordinating the events this weekend and well done to all the Bonsai Riders.

19.01.2022 So special to me Only a handful of weeks out of hospital and both lacking some fitness but we managed to pull of a decent 5C test.

19.01.2022 Last weekend at the 2020 Midwest Season Finale we had a very busy day with four horses. Husson Maid (Maude) and Ana Diva (Greta) had their show horse debut. Super well behaved in big classes. Greta and I took out Champion Senior Rider, 1st in all her classes and of the eleven on the ring for champion the small (big moving) dressage pony cantered her way to Champion Hunter over 14hh. ... A big thank you to the Committee for a mostly smooth day and a great program! Midwest stockfeeds (Carly Petersen) thank you for your sponsorship of Champion Hunter and to Barrier Reef Pools Geraldton for sponsoring the Senior rider class. Thank you to all our helpers from Bonsai Jacks for supporting us and coming down to watch.

Most adorable patent burgundy fluff boots and cotton set from The Rug Rack. Enzo is also loving the NS Tranz Angled Pony Snaffle... in a 4.25 so tiny! Thanks @bitbankau

18.01.2022 Great weekend christening the new @equitrekvictoria float at the Geraldton Dressage Championships. Greta was in the 70% club all weekend with 1B and 1C 75%, 2C and 2A 74% and 72% in 2B. Preliminary Champion Horse Sponsored by @coastalequinevet and Novice Champion Horse sponsored by Champion Sheds and Steel. We were also fortunate enough to take home Overall Champion with a great cash prize kindly sponsored by Sarah at Coastal Equine Vet. Thank you to the committee, judge an...d helpers for dedicating your time to a great weekend of dressage right here in the Midwest. It's no easy task to organise and coordinate although I'm sure all the riders had a fab time and appreciate your hard work! Plenty of local businesses came on board this year to sponsor and thank you to each and every class sponor. Geraldton Stockfeeds, Marie Hart, Moonynooka PC, Rogue Pony, Sports First, Rigters IGA, The Beauty Room, Conway Builders WA and Valley View Performance Horses. A big congrats to our Bonsai girls Lielani and Lily for getting out there and doing some super work. Also to all our students that dropped in to say goodluck and see what its all about. As discussed at presentations, these kids are the future of our sport. It's important they get the opportunity for honest feedback and learn the ropes in a training and competition setting. Another big thanks to Ruth Hebiton, Chantelle Piesse, Rowena Chant, Heike and all the Bonsai Crew.

I was fortunate enough to start this mare 2 years ago and now she is back for further training and sale preparation. Very sensible, didn't bother to spook and calmly trotted herself around on the lunge like a pro. Jess is going to make a super horse for her next rider. 03.01.2022 How cute can they be Leilani and Enzo had their first official dressage competition together. 69.6% in 1A and 66.8% in 1B! They also won highest percentage pony combination for the show. Very proud of them both.
