24.01.2022 NADENE SHARES HER DECOLLETAGE TREATMENT TIPS! Hi, it’s Nadene here - co-owner of EB Joondi :) I’m 55 years old and like many of us, I was worried about the state of my decolletage (the area under the neck and down to the breasts) - particularly with the effects of our harsh Aussie sunlight. ... It's crazy how as we age this part of the body shows visible signs of wear and tear. 21.01.2022 MEET TAMMY! EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT INJECTABLES AND DERMAL-FILLERS... Tammy (pictured) is our beloved cosmetic nurse at Ella Bache Joondalup.... Practicing as a Registered Nurse for over 20 years years, Tammy has worked as a Clinical Nurse in varying areas of health. So, with her wealth of knowledge on hand, we decided to ask all those burning questions regarding dermal fillers and injectables ----- "take it away Tammy!" WHAT MADE YOU DELVE INTO COSMETIC NURSING? Qualifying in the UK I developed an interest in cosmetic nursing when I moved to Perth 7 years ago. Learning from one of Perth's leading cosmetics clinics, I consolidated my cosmetic nursing skills by gaining a Post Graduate Diploma in Cosmetic Nursing in 2013 from the Australasian Academy of Cosmetic Dermal Science. This allowed me to perform a full facial and skin assessment, providing specialist advice on all dermal modalities. WHAT SETS YOU APART AS A COSMETIC NURSE? Ive been practicing cosmetic nursing for over 17 years, plus I have a post grad in cosmetic nursing so Im quite in-the-know regarding injectables as well as all things dermal! Being relatable, having great education and up-to-date skills are what I go by in terms of selling my service WHAT INJECTABLE PRODUCT DO YOU USE AND WHAT FEES SHOULD CLIENTS EXPECT? I use a high quality wrinkle relaxer which spreads better; this is what you want as a technician. The wrinkle relaxer is injected into any muscles of the face. I charge $4 per unit. Common areas are: Frown: $200 Forehead: $100-$130 Crows feet: $200/$250 Lip flick ($99) prices can vary depending on how many units are used and this depends on the muscle mass of the area. HOW LONG DOES AN INJECTABLE TREATMENT TAKE AND HOW LONG WILL IT LAST? Treatment takes about 20 minutes and starts to work after a few days. Full effect occurs at 2 weeks then lasts around 3 months, but normally longer. Lots of places are offering cheap deals per area, but be aware that these companies use the least amount of units. With charging by the unit the client knows exactly what they are paying for. WHAT ARE DERMAL-FILLERS? Dermal fillers replace volume loss (which starts declining with age). They come in 1ml vials and I use only premium products. WHAT ARE THE FEES FOR DERMAL-FILLERS? Cheeks: $600 Lips: $550 Lower face: $550 These can last 18 months - 2 years. Ashley has been in the beauty therapy business for over 15 years - even working in Greece for many months performing various treatments. After moving from Essex to Perth in 2014, Ashley started her journey with Ella Bache at the Perth salon. Three years later (2017) she relocated to Ella Bache Joondalup after moving to the area when her son was five months old. An Essex born cockney, she is a dedicated beauty therapist and now assistant manager at Ella Bache Joondalup. She loves performing facials, mainly because she wants to make people feel relaxed and happy with their skin. Ashley was sponsored into Oz by Nadene and Gary, and is now happily married to Kevin (an Australian Scotsman) with two beautiful children, Albi & Lainee. I studied beauty therapy because I love making people feel good about themselves; seeing their change in energy and temperament makes my day complete.
