25.01.2022 What an inspiring afternoon watching Saint Judy Movie at a fundraiser for Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service. Thanks for having me and for bringing this great film to Hobart

21.01.2022 Congratulations to the 53 new Australians who took their citizenship tonight at Glenorchy City Council. It was lovely chatting with Milan and Khevna (and little Mishri!) who have migrated from India as well as Karar from Pakistan. Karar is also an active member of the PCST - Pakistani Cultural Society of Tasmania.

20.01.2022 Today the Liberals and Madeleine Ogilvie voted against my formal motion for the government to release their hidden report. Why won’t the government release the report? What are they hiding?

19.01.2022 As Neighbourhood Watch Week draws to a close this weekend, I thought I'd share my interview with Ryk Goddard ABC Hobart from a few weeks ago. Listen below to hear me speak about issues of crime facing our communities.

18.01.2022 Today is dogs in politics day! The day is all about highlighting the support our pets offer us and for being there no matter what. Pets really do make the world a better place. Here are some of our past Canines of Clark competition contestants (see comments of attached post for more doggo content)

18.01.2022 Labor will provide free TAFE courses across the building and construction, hospitality, aged care and disability services sectors. You can read more here: http://taslabor.com/free-tafe

16.01.2022 Every day people are affected by power bill shock Labor called for a winter energy supplement but the Liberals knocked it down. We know the Liberals can do more to support Tasmanian families, so why don’t they? Read Kathy's story below If you think it’s unfair that families like Kathy's are footing expensive bills after being in lockdown, let the government know by signing Labor’s petition https://betterfairertasmania.com/give-power-bill-relief-to/

16.01.2022 Last weekend I went to see this great film. The screening was a fundraiser for Tasmanian Refugee Legal Service. And the good news is, if you missed out you have another chance!! There will be a second fundraising screening next Thursday night. You can buy tickets at the link below. Do go along, it was a great film and you’ll be supporting a great cause!

16.01.2022 You can show your support for my campaign and Tas Labor by updating your profile picture with my new facebook frame!

16.01.2022 Tasmania’s political donations laws are the weakest in the country and need a total overhaul. The government has been sitting on a report into this since December. Now they seem to have backed away from the issue altogether. In parliament this week, Labor will call on the government to release the report. Elections should be a battle of good ideas not a battle of bank accounts

16.01.2022 Today is International Access to Information Day. Access to information plays an enormous role in building community trust, trust in politics, trust in government. I recently spoke about this issue in Parliament the need for community trust. We’ve submitted a number of Right to Information requests regarding the Westbury Prison development, and our requests were denied. ... So, what is the Government hiding?

15.01.2022 WOW! Thanks so much Christine for your generous donation to Short of a Sheet. We’re still collecting donations they’re in need of durable clothing, bedding, sturdy shoes, coats and warm socks as well as non-perishable food items and toiletries like toothpaste and brushes, deodorant, wet wipes, soap and sanitary items.

15.01.2022 It is a hallmark of this Government, hiding information, refusing to release information publicly and taking the Tasmanian people for granted. Last week I spoke about the importance of political donation reform. It’s time we levelled the playing field, and cleaned up Tasmanian politics.

15.01.2022 The Liberal government wants to privatise TasTAFE. The difference could not be clearer between Labor and Liberal.

13.01.2022 More heartbreaking news this week with the passing of Susan Ryan AO. The Australian Labor Party’s first woman on the front bench, architect of our Sex Discrimination Act and life long advocate for women’s rights. She will be sorely missed in our movement. Vale.

12.01.2022 Around 200 people turned out for the Multicultural Council of Tasmania AGM tonight. Congratulations to Sumaiya from Jawedan's kitchen for the well deserved win of not one but TWO MCOT awards! Well done to Waqas Durani on his term as President and best wishes for the incoming board.

12.01.2022 What a monumental loss today. Ruth Bader Ginsberg fought every obstacle life put in her way. Not for her own benefit but for the benefit of all women and girls, and all people everywhere. The world is poorer for her parting. Her memory and fight will live on. Rest in power, RBG.

11.01.2022 Here is Benji, the therapy dog who works with the The Salvation Army Glenorchy. Thanks to Jeff and the team (including Benji!) for meeting with me today to have a catch up about their important work supporting our community through Doorways emergency relief. #caninesofclark

06.01.2022 Today is world tourism day Tourism is one of the sectors hardest hit by the COVID19 Pandemic. COVID19 presents an opportunity to rethink the future of tourism in Tasmania.
