22.01.2022 I can’t help myself, I’m so drawn to anatomy, and obsessed with Aussie florals. So I can't see myself stopping these little pieces any time soon. This one is of a cervical vertebrae . . . Image Description: A graphite illustration of a c4 vertebrae, with watercolour Australia florals and greenery peeking out from the sides. It sits on a wooden desk surrounded by tea, pencils, clear framed glasses, and some sprays of eucalyptus.

19.01.2022 I can’t help but reflect on changes as we leave 2020 behind us and let 2021 begin. The moon makes me happy. It reminds me that things change, that we can grow and shrink, but that even if it doesn’t look like it from the outside, you were always whole. I’m hopeful for this year; last year showed me how much I can live without, I’m hoping this year shows me how much I can achieve. I'm hopeful to achieve some new goals in my personal, work, and art life this year. I'm hoping t...o start selling prints this year! All things going well, maybe some stickers and cards and other fun little bits Time will tell! Image Description: A large square illustration displaying the phases of the moon, in 13 small illustrations arranged as a circle. The moons are coloured with deep, bright blue watercolours. Surrounding the painting are two blue-handled brushed, a pair of clear framed glasses, trailing vines of greenery, a cluster of crystals, and a gold rimmed magnifying glass. All sit atop a white blanket.

07.01.2022 A little WIP shot of my fave Honestly, who doesn’t love this little guy? He's so scary to paint, he’s so adorable, it’s hard to try to match that level of cute. I’m really excited to see him come together. . . . Image Description: A marble background with a half-complete watercolour illustration of Grogu (aka The Child, aka Baby Yoda). His face, hands and collar have been coloured with watercolour, the rest is outlined in graphite. To the right of the painting sits a white mixing palette filled with a range of colours, two brushes sitting across the palette.

03.01.2022 My top 9 from 2020 What a year. I did more art this year than ever, I started studying again, and I got to do more interesting and diverse work in nursing than I have thus far in my career. Mostly, I'm just glad I got through the year. But I don't want to write this year off or pretend it didn't happen, while waiting for things to return to what they were. How things were wasn't working. This year didn't happen by accident, it was caused by the failings of a system built ...on greed that prioritises the economy over people. I don't want to forget this year, I want to remember it all. I want to remember the very real changes achieved by grassroots activists, the success seen by countries that valued their people above profit, that your opinion is not a substitute for science, that being apart doesn't mean being alone, and that kindness costs nothing. I'm grateful for the year that has taught me so much, and shaped me in ways I don't think I'll fully understand for some years. Thanks to everyone who's stuck by me throughout it . . . . . Image Description: A 3 by 3 grid showing a variety of artworks. First row: 1. Dark blue watercolour background with white constelations 2. A sketchbook filled with graphite drawings of noses 3. 02.01.2022 Merry Christmas! Here’s my final #aussiefloralchristmas It’s actually the first one I painted, I designed it featuring a wattle garland on the mantel, but then decided later I wanted to do a wattle wreath for week 1. The old gas heater felt much more Aussie than an actual fireplace Hope you have a beautiful day and stay safe Image Description: Image 1: An ink lined watercolour illustration of a white mantel, wrapped around brick, with a dark gas heater nestled in the ce...ntre. Three Christmas stockings hang off the mantel, with garlands of wattle draped across the top. Glistening above the fireplace are the words merry Christmas! gilded in gold leaf. The illustration in placed on a white spotted planner, surrounded by eucalyptus, a double wick candle, a fin line pen, a brass square rule, bull clips, and bells. Image 2: The same items as the first image, taken at a more sideways angle to show the difference in sheen of the gold leaf. @ Melbourne, Victoria, Australia See more
