10.01.2022 A snapshot of Ruby Princess... I was part of a large group of Travel Agents who were allowed to take part in a Ship Inspection of Ruby Princess on the 31st of October, just in time to see the Halloween decorations. I wanted to share my impressions of this lovely ship. My first thought on boarding was that she is B.I.G19 decks!... Lots of space and seating so you should easily find the perfect place for lunch or a quiet corner to people watch. The many bars will give you something to do on Sea Days, with a Whiskey Bar and a Margarita Bar to name just two of them. The cabins are the standard Princess size and fittings and look really comfy with wall mounted flat screen tvs. Medallion Class is coming to Princess early next year, and Ruby is ready for it. You will be given a medallion instead of a card to access your cabin and make purchases on board. There will also be interactive screens throughout the ship, and you can even play scavenger hunt type games. You can keep your medallion in a plastic wallet like the cards or you can purchase a nifty watchband for it. The Sanctuary is quite roomy and for a small fee you can be safely locked away from children and noise to be waited on in a relaxing atmosphere whilst you chill out. If you are inclined to exercise there is a huge Gym and Running Track! I just glanced as I walked past and headed to the Salty Dog for Burgers and Loaded Fries (YUM!) Curtis Stones SHARE looks inviting. Great menu and lots of seating without being on each others laps, as is sometimes the case when they try to add too many seats. In this restaurant you wont be bumping chairs with the table next to you. You will find the usual Princess shops so be ready to buy another toy bear to add to your collection. As they even had a Halloween Bear! Lunch was plentiful and fresh with the Fettuccine Alfredo a standout. The dessert as usual was really awfulNOT.. the Princess signature Love Boat Dream, chocolate mousse on a brownie was DIVINE!

02.01.2022 We are getting a lot of queries about how to self-isolate and what to do if you need to transit domestically in Australia. Here is some advice from the Departm...ent of Health on what to do. If you return from overseas, you can transit to your home city, but you must go directly home (i.e. this means going straight home and not deviating from the most direct route). If you need to spend the night in a location due to flight scheduling, you will need to self-isolate at your hotel or other accommodation until your connecting flight.
