We had a great day finishing up with 8 medals from 11 events! 14...3 A huge thank you to Sensei Eric for his guidance and support, particularly in the absence of Sensei Grant Rollinson Wskf (get well soon!) Thanks Tai for making it happen at the very last minute, and of course thanks to the parent supporters for a great weekend away.

06.01.2022 Congratulations to all our competitors at the WA Karate League - WA Open earlier this month. We had Peewees competing for the first time, along with other first... time competitors and first time medalists from some more seasoned competitors. In total we took 9 Gold , 7 Silver, 8 Bronze plus 6 Peewee Bronze medals from 49 entries! Special mention for James who took Gold for Boys 14/15yrs Developing Kata (no photo available)

04.01.2022 Our last Swan Valley training session for the year was enjoyed with some light training, and a few karate-based games before we headed off to a delicious Thai dinner for our end-of-year party and Awards Night. Congratulations to the following students who won this years awards: WSKF Swan Valley Club Champions... Senior - Cayden Standish (3rd Kyu) - Cayden won 1 Gold, 3 Silver and 2 Bronze medals from six local events in Kumite, and was a member of the WA State team competing at the AKF National Championships in Queensland in August this year. Junior - Tai Linnell - Tai won 2 Gold and 1 Silver medal in three local events in Kata this year. Most Improved: Junior - Declan Alford Senior - Cayden Standish Perseverance Awards: Little Tigers - Michael Douglas Juniors - Riley Kitchin Seniors - Nethaka Godawitharana Special thanks to Instructors, Senseis Grant and Stuart, and Sempais Hayden and Serena for your valuable instruction during the year.

03.01.2022 As 2020 draws to a close we thank you for your continued support and congratulate our students for another great year. The competition season was reduced by the COVID-19 restrictions, but we still managed two competitions and the WA State Championships. The following awards are based on competition results:... Ellenbrook Club Champion: Josh Coombes (1 Gold, 2 Bronze medals from 6 events in Kata and Kumite) Runner Up Club Champion: Lexi Coombes (1 Silver, 2 Bronze medals from 5 events in Kata and Kumite) Most resilient competitor: Declan Alford (1 Silver medal from 5 events in Kata and Kumite) Thanks again to Instructors: Senseis Grant Rollinson Wskf, Eric Truong, Mujtaba Safdari and Sempais Josh, Vishver, Nethaka and Lexi. After our last class we enjoyed a fabulous night out at Amaretttos Restaurant, Ellenbrook, to relax and celebrate the year that was.
