17.01.2022 The Angels Mission Introducing you to the Graham Family. The Graham family moved to this area from the Goldfields around six years ago. A beautiful caring family they quickly became involved in community service through ‘The Movement’. The Movement is an International organisation that reaches out to people in need, and domestic violence victims and the Graham Family ran the Ellenbrook division of this service. ... They joined with the Ellenbrook Community Kitchen and became even more aware of the food support required in our suburb. This encouraged them to create their own not for profit organisation The Angels Mission. (The Angels) Despite being the founders of this NFP, the idea actually came from a collective voice of community volunteers that work with the Grahams. This is a true community based initiative. Their original team included Maureen, Angel, Rachel, Rensche, Nkechi, Tim, Robyn, Teleah, and Jahney but their Angel Team is growing almost daily as the love they share with all continues to expand. The Angels are supported by other not for profit organisations (including Second Bite) and local businesses who supply them with food and groceries that allow them to make up biweekly hampers. They also have two amazing cooks with registered kitchens that cook meals for families in need. This extraordinary group is incredibly loving and supportive. Already there are many caring people within the community that work with them, who donate groceries and other items that go towards their hampers. The Angels only opened officially recently on Wednesday and Friday, when they shared generous food hampers. This has already expanded to much more. They are equipped for emergency relief in crisis situations where they can supply frozen cooked meals and a small amount of groceries. For those in the community isolated at home they can deliver and they have also added a Pay it Forward page to their service. The Angels are very grateful of the support they receive from community and NFP’s and are always finding ways to reciprocate. Organisations including Integrated Empowerment Service and the Ellenbrook Mile are already actively engaged with The Angels. From the time this story was proposed and written "The Angel Mission" services and team have grown in the understanding of needs our our local and broader community. It is going to be exciting to watch their future developments. The angels Mission believe in the value of ‘community’, that we all care, share and walk together.
