25.01.2022 CLINIC UPDATE: Ellenbrook Chiropractic & Wellness Centre continues to receive ongoing guidance for the National Chiropractic Board under the direction of the Federal and State Government Departments of Health. The centre has initiated strict internal protocols to ensure every practitioner's room will be sanitised following every consultation.... Along with being vigilant with the cleanliness and hygiene of our communal areas. We are also engaged in the screening of our patients, and we do ask you for your co-operation in respecting the guidelines regarding self-quarantining with recent travel and any flu-like symptoms. We also have COVID-19 posters placed in the centre's common areas for you to review. Please consider your own personal hygiene practices whilst attending our clinic. Hand sanitiser and wipes are available at the front counter and we encourage you to use them whilst visiting the clinic. We will continue to monitor the situation as it develops and keep you well informed of any changes that may occur. It is a time to prioritise your health & wellness, and a time to support each other. If you have any questions regarding our health services during this time, please call 9296-7999. Thank you for your continued support during these challenging and uncertain times, stay well. Kind regards, Ellenbrook Chiropractic & Wellness Centre.

23.01.2022 Is Quercetin an option in the fight against COVID-19? There is some interesting preclinical research on the antiviral potential of Quercetin. In a Spanish study in 2014 (Journal of Agricultural & Food Chemistry) researchers identified that Quercetin a natural plant pigment acted as a Zinc Ionophore. In theory, this may suggest Quercetin can interfere with viral replication. As such, it is a compound of interest in the potential management of COVID-19. Quercetin can be purchased as a supplement without a prescription. Researchers in Canada are looking at this closely. Here is a link discussing their research https://www.mcgilltribune.com//montreal-researchers-propo/

19.01.2022 Two years ago on this day, Dr. Taylor our Principal Chiropractor was in Edinburgh Scotland attending his graduation ceremony at McEwan Hall. Dr. Taylor became the first student ever to graduate (with distinction) from Prestigious Edinburgh Medical School with this specialised Pain & Headache Masters Degree. Here a brief look back on this day ! https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=889100388239158

18.01.2022 Update from Ellenbrook Chiropractic Yesterday, the WA health minister (29/03/2020) Mr Cook said "while his thoughts were with those who had tested positive...in Western Australia our problem isn't community spread, our problem is people returning to the state." As such there are no current changes to guidance from the WA Department of Health. Furthermore, the allied health network are currently being encouraged by the Federal Health Minister, The Hon. Greg Hunt to conti...nue our hands on care. People are hurting right now - in all sorts of ways and and until advised otherwise, we will continue to provide Chiropractic Care as safely as possible. THE CLINIC IS OPEN. Chiropractic & OT services are available. The only service we have suspended at this time is remedial massage. Our practitioners have certificates in Infection Control displayed at the front of the clinic. Please be assured we are constantly cleaning and sanitising benches and other surfaces, having sanitiser or use of handwash basin available before and after you appointment, maintaining social distance in our reception area, minimising any reception waiting time and even suggesting the option of waiting in the car. Furthermore, if you are over the age of 70 we would encourage you as a part of general guidance from the Federal Health Department to ring our centre and reschedule your appointment to a later date. Please reschedule your appointment, at any time, if you are feeling ill (eg. cough, sore throat, fever etc ) or have travelled overseas within the last 14 days or had contact with someone who travelled overseas in the last 14 days or if you have been in contact with someone who has been diagnosed with or is in the process of being tested for COVID 19. For some of you isolating at home, not attending your appointment at the clinic is the only option that is safe or acceptable to you right now. We understand. We will soon be offering Telehealth in the form of video calls incorporating an awesome postural health program as well as other exercises and advice for you to follow. These appointments will be complimentary in the first month of release. In the meantime if you need any help ring the clinic on 92967999 and your Chiropractor will call you back to provide support and strategies for you to work through at home. You are not alone. We will support you from near or far and we will get through this together! -William and the Ellenbrook Chiropractic team

02.01.2022 Message from our Clinic Director at ECWC I have been asked to put down some of my thoughts on approaches to reduce the risk of contracting coronavirus and also to reduce the severity of the illness if you or a family member contract coronavirus. This post is not going to discuss the outcomes of coronavirus since there is a plethora of information on the internet. An appropriate source of information for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) can be found at the Australian Department of...Continue reading
