20.01.2022 What a great feeling it is knowing that you have a holiday booked, even if it is over 12 months away ;) It's even better when it is a #travelwishlist trip, such as to see the Northern Lights. Now, there usually are no guarantees that you will see Aurora Borealis as it is dependent on the solar activity and cloud cover, however the amount of time spent in the Arctic Circle during this trip does maximise your chances! There are 2 Follow the Lights itineraries which feature the ...iconic Hurtigruten Coastal Voyage and visit places along the Norwegian Coast. I like this itinerary which includes the Northbound journey, a 2 day Norway in a Nutshell trip on the Flam railway, all the fabulous activities you can do in Finnish Lapland, as well a two of my favourite cities, Helsinki and Tallinn. The Southbound itinerary is shorter and doesn't include southern Finland, but you do get to visit the Lofoten Islands during the day. Adventure World has a special offer with a saving of $500pp when booked before the 20th February. You can lock in your trip for 2022 with a deposit knowing that Hurtigruten has a Book with Confidence policy during February. See more

19.01.2022 Having watched many Destination Canada webinars while on stand down last year, there are a few of these itineraries very high on my #travelwishlist ;) I do love a road trip, especially when I get to see fabulous scenery, discover culture and enjoy delicious local produce! While I was fortunate to spend time in British Columbia in 2019, I still haven't explored the Rockies or Vancouver Island yet. I'd go back to the Thompson Okanagan region of BC any time though... The Ottawa Valley, the Maritimes and the Yukon are the other 3 road trips I highly recommend, and I'm happy to chat with you if you would like to find out which one(s) you will enjoy the most.

14.01.2022 Fun fact, letters sent from Santa Claus's Post Office have a special postmark

03.01.2022 Disney's California Adventure opened 20 years ago, and boy, has it come a long way since then! I remember when it was a parking lot back in 1997, then by 2000 the construction was well underway. I didn't get to visit until 2008, and though I enjoyed it, it didn't have the same magic as Disneyland. I did love the California focus though with Grizzly River Run and Soaring Over California two rides I enjoyed. By the time I visited in 2010, construction was underway to revamp the... park, with scaffolding and fences in quite a few places. In June 2012 I had the opportunity to visit the Disneyland resort for the reopening day of California Adventure. The new focus on the golden years of Hollywood added more authenticity to the park. And of course, Cars Land is awesome! My last visit was in February 2019, where construction was underway on the exciting new Avengers Campus, which will be home to the Marvel characters. The park really has evolved into a home for the Pixar and Marvel universes, with a touch of the California dream. PS. This was a commercial from when the park first opened in 2001 ;) https://youtu.be/AZPOCVLJ8bU See more
