19.01.2022 In the kindergarten room this week we have been learning all about space. At group time we have read books and learnt about each planet and this has extended into an art/craft project of creating our own solar system within the room. We have been using paper maché to create our own planets and we are also making our very own rocket. All the children have showed lots of interest in this subject and we can’t wait to watch it evolve further as their learning continues. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
19.01.2022 1st birthday celebrations at the Cheltenham campus today. Wish we could have had a huge party with all our families and the community. Oh well there is always next year! Feeling very thankful to all of the families for entrusting the education, development and wellbeing of their children with Elles Belles. Special thanks to @lucyannaholmes, @miss_michelle2090 and @brooke_atkinson_82 for being the best leadership team we could ask for. The entire EB team has worked so tirelessly through this difficult time and I am amazed that their resilience and passion has not floundered. Feeling very proud of everyone involved in this journey. Lots of love from Elena @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
17.01.2022 WE ARE HIRING!!!
16.01.2022 Hi lovely families, After Dan Andrews press conference today, I’m sure you were all left a little bewildered in regards to what stage 4 restrictions equate too for Elles Belles. Hopefully I can provide you with a little bit of an insight, whilst we await the Federal Government’s announcement. Elles Belles Early Learning will remain OPEN, for (on-site work) Covid Safe Plan in place, but will have restrictions as per the following statement provided by the Victorian Premier.... The Early Childhood Education and Care (including Sessional Kindergarten, Long day care, which is Elles Belles, family day care and Outside School Hours Care) Restricted to permitted workers and vulnerable children (eg those in/out of home care or known to child protection, medically/socially vulnerable children, Koori children) I have not been made aware of what permitted workers look like, and will absolutely provide this information to each and every one of you as soon as it becomes available to me. Please continue to bring your children to Elles Belles on their enrolled days, until otherwise informed. KEEP STRONG !
12.01.2022 Today the kindergarten children participated in a cooking experience and made their very own damper for their afternoon tea. This was hugely popular as the children were asking for more and more. During the cooking the children were able to assist with measuring, stiring and pouring, developing their awareness and knowledge of these early science and mathematical concepts. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
12.01.2022 The children and educators were so excited to have Benji and Frankie visit us today. The dogs enjoyed lots of cuddles and running around the outdoor play area with the children who enjoyed the exercise and physical play just as much. All of the children did a wonderful job of being gentle and showing the dogs affection and kindness. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus

10.01.2022 Dear Wonderful Families, As you have probably already heard, this afternoon Premier Daniel Andrews has declared a "state of disaster" which takes effect at 6pm tonight. This means the Victorian Police have greater powers and Metropolitan Melbourne will move into Stage 4 Restrictions, with the rest of Victoria now under Stage 3 Restrictions from Wednesday onwards. Mitchell Shire will remain under Stage 3 Restrictions. What does this mean for Elles Belles Early Learning?... At this stage we know that Monday and Tuesday will be business as usual, but from Wednesday onwards, for early learning services in Metropolitan Melbourne, only children of "essential workers" and from disadvantaged and vulnerable families will be allowed to attend early learning services, for the duration of Stage 4 Restrictions. Meanwhile early learning services in regional Victoria can continue to accept all children. Once I receive a list of work types/vocations that the Victorian Government deems to be "essential services/workers", along with the definition of "disadvantaged and vulnerable families", then I will share this with you immediately. In terms of financial support for Elles Belles Early Learning, Premier Andrews stated at today's media conference he will make further announcements on Monday or Tuesday about Victoria's business sector tomorrow including economic impacts and support - at this stage I don't have any updates in this space, but hope and pray our beautiful centre can survive through this stage 4 restriction. The Victorian Department of Education and Training (DET), will send out advice via emails and updates, which I will be able to share once I am in receipt of this information. Take care and keep smiling, we will get through this, and come out the other side like we already have once.

06.01.2022 A huge thank you to Queen Lucy and Princess Michelle for going above and beyond to ensure the safety and well-being of all the students, teachers, educators, families and entire team during this extremely challenging time. You’re both incredible and I’m sure I can say oh behalf of the entire community we thank you for everything! Please note this photo was taken on Disney Day this is not the EB uniform.
06.01.2022 Thank you we will miss you Charlotte and family. It’s so sad seeing one of the first enrolments we had leaving EB due to relocating. We wish you all the best for the future. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
05.01.2022 At Elles Belles our team are committed to best practice. We ensure that we are equipped to meet every individual need of the children in our care. That is why we have introduced the Phoenix Cups framework which gives our Educators a deeper understanding of human needs and behaviours. This framework has been used as a team building exercise to strengthen Educators relationships and understanding of each other. The children have started with the Connection Cup and made their own display on what fills this cup for them. It was lovely to hear the answers the children gave as to what makes them feel a sense of connection. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
04.01.2022 Do you want your child to run into their early learning centre like this? We are taking enrolments at our Cheltenham campus but we are filling very quickly.... Don’t miss out! On another note the Ormond campus will be opening next year and we are taking enquiries so you can save your spot when we open. Please visit our website for further details.
04.01.2022 Today’s Phoenix Cup is CONNECTION. The children enjoy developing social skills and establishing friendships within their peer group. They also establish positive relationships and bonds with their educators. By feeling a connection to others children they have a greater sense of belonging, higher self esteem and are learning virtues such as kindness, empathy and understanding. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
03.01.2022 Children are never too young to learn about multiculturalism. The babies in Willow room have been enjoying celebrating Aboriginal culture through painting their own Aboriginal flags and watching traditional dancing and singing on our interactive screen. This is a key element of our program and aligns with outcome 2 of the Early Years Learning Framework - children contribute and are connected to their world. @ Elles Belles Early Learning Cheltenham Campus
03.01.2022 Channel 10 visits the Cheltenham campus again today to cover the latest in what stage 4 means for families and childcare. https://twitter.com/10newsfirst/status/1291276866591096833
03.01.2022 Hello beautiful families, As this bizarre week of weeks draws to a close, I can share with you the very latest news we have received from the Department of Education and Training (DET) about childcare permits for permitted workers. This advice has changed in some respects so please read on, as this will be extremely POSITIVE for the majority of all our families. What has changed:- ... 1/ Elles Belles only needs to receive ONE PERMIT form from one parent. This can be either:- 1/. the Permitted Worker Permit (including childcare) for parents working onsite or 2/. the Access to Childcare and Kinder (Working from Home) form for parents working from home. Both of these forms include an attestation that the parent seeks access to childcare and that your child/ren cannot otherwise be cared for during work hours by the Employee or another responsible adult in the household. I will be sending out an email to all families over the weekend, who may not be on social media. PLEASE do not hesitate to call Monday morning if you are hesitant in anyway. This is GREAT news for all our wonderful and much loved families and of course the CHILDREN
02.01.2022 Our wonderful children at Elles Belles Early Learning will be partaking in online learning experiences throughout the upcoming six weeks of stage 4 lockdown. The educators have developed relevant programs for the children to interact with from home and off campus. The Willow and Banksia children will be focusing on music and movement and listening to picture books from their beloved educators. The Mulberry and Acacia team have organised for virtual piano lessons,... Auslan classes and many more fun experiences. The Jacaranda and Kindergarten children will be receiving packages in the mail to partake in virtual lets get crafty sessions, mindfulness experiences, outdoor activities and show and tell meetings. You will have the opportunity to access these learning programs as much or as little as you choose to suit your families needs. Further communication will be sent out to our families via email, about how to log onto Zoom and access these programs. We look forward to seeing you all, please stay safe. See more
02.01.2022 Eventful morning at the Cheltenham campus with channel 10 coming to film the latest update for educators and staff in the childcare sector.
01.01.2022 A message from Dan Andrews: To all of Victoria’s early childhood teachers, educators and staff As we close out 2020, I wanted to write and say thank you.... In this, the most challenging of years, you ensured families kept connected and our youngest Victorians kept learning. It’s an incredible achievement, and one that just wouldn’t have been possible without your hard work, professionalism and commitment to our children. There’s no denying that this year has been a difficult one. But because of your efforts, we can look forward to a better, brighter 2021. Once again, thank you for your work and I hope you have a fantastic summer. Yours sincerely The Hon Daniel Andrews MP Premier
