25.01.2022 I remember my own wedding day.. being without my own mum definately pulled on those heart strings, even if she had been gone most of my adult life. 12.01.2022 You know those mums who are organised to a fault, and when it's their kids birthday they plan the party down to every tiny detail - the venue, the food, the decorations, the CAKE. Everything executed to Pinterest Inspired perfection. Well, unfortunately I'm not one of those mums. Sure, I'd love to have had platters of healthy pinwheel sandwiches and a shark made out of a watermelon, but, realistically, I just haven't had the time this week and have been struck down with this nasty Ekka flu, so, for my daughters 4th birthday, here is my $2.50 packet mix cake that took me a whole 2.5 minutes to make (complemented with a few m&m's to boot!) He is an incredibly hands on, loving and supporting dad, he has also declared many a time that the 'fun parent' award is firmly in his court, although, when I think about it, I'm convinced that I'm pretty damn hilarious myself... he has some stiff competition for that title!
